CARROLLTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Bradley Thomas earned his yellow belt in Taekwondo, but it is what the 7-year-old Canton boy is doing from the heart that has earned him praise.
Bradley decided to help a family have Christmas as part of his Taekwondo community service project.

Dewayne Thomas was surprised when his son came up with the idea. He said Bradley knew the Moody family had lost their Villa Rica home in an April fire.
Kelly Moody, her husband, 12-year-old son and twin 10-year-old girls live in a small, cramped hotel room. They did not have renter's insurance and had nowhere else to go.
Moody said getting by day-to-day is hard enough, and can't even think about Christmas.
"It's in the back of your mind. You don't know what you're going to do," said Moody.

Moody said when she found out what Bradley was doing, she started crying.
"Just that someone would think about others above himself. I am really thankful for Bradley, I really am - or, we all are. They just don't realize it," said Moody.
Since the beginning of October, Bradley has spent his spare time earning money. He helps the neighbors and collects money at church.
"Helping organize stuff, a lot of stuff. I keep on forgetting what I do," said Bradley.
He has earned $300.50 to buy presents for the Moody children, but it's not just money he has raised.

"This has kind of given me some hope. Something to look forward to," said Moody.
Bradley's project was supposed to end in October, but he is continuing until the end of November.
He will help Santa Claus buy the gifts, so Santa can deliver them.
If you want to help Bradley, his father, Dewayne Thomas can be reached at dewayne_1980@hotmail.com.

What an amazing 7 year old. Kids his age are still riding the selfish train. To think that who helped provide your children with a Christmas was a little tyke younger than your own just fills your heart with so much joy and kind of gives you hope that this world does have some good in it. The parents have to be so very proud of their child.

He keeps forgetting what all he does. Now, that is a selfless person. His parents can be so proud of that little guy.

I know what the family feels like too. 7 years ago on January 18, 2005, my grandson saved my life by being born. I was at the hospital when my daughter gave birth, otherwise I would have been home when my house burned completely up.

Anyway, I'm just saying I know how grateful the family feels. Absolute strangers came out of nowhere to help us. We lost everything, but it didn't take long before most of it was replaced. Lots of memories and pictures lost, but we didn't lose our lives.

What a great little kid this little guy is.
