Richland, New York (WSYR-TV) - An Oswego County man has been charged with rape for allegedly having sex with an underage girl on multiple occasions.
Ritchie Schroeder, 40, of County Rt. 48 in Richland has been charged with first degree rape, first degree sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
A police investigation found Schroeder had sexual intercourse with an 11-year-old girl several times between March and September of 2006. Police say he also had inappropriate sexual contact with the girl from the time she was 9 years old, in 2004.
Schroeder was arraigned in the town of Richland court and sent to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to reappear in the court on June 23.
