And that could've been a really cool last name, but now it's completely ruined.

What I never get is why would you go through the pregnancy just to kill the kid? I mean, I know some women like being pregnant, but it really has it's sucky points. Like the throwing up, stretch marks, uncomfortableness, weight gain, LABOR!!!! If you can't bring yourself to have an abortion then find Kathy or someone like her and get her to pay your bills while you incubate the baby. That is totally what I would do! Do you know how much healthy infants are worth? Good God!

I would love to hear the excuse these 2 fucks have for the blunt force trauma. A 3-day old baby couldn't possibly have rolled off the bed or under the couch. Choking on a chicken nugget and falling down is pretty much out of the question too.....
Maybe these 2 will come up with something new.
Assholes.....

Wow... 3 days... that is almost a fucking record there. Blunt force trauma to the head... I don't know about the rest of the moms here but on Day 3 post partum I spent a lot of time crying because I missed feeling the baby move in me... *sigh* They could've at least try to sell the baby first. I would've bought it.

Indicted one year later:
Ashley and Alfred Debelbot, charged with murder in connection with the death of their 3-day-old daughter, were indicted Tuesday.

Both parents were indicted on two counts of murder and one count of cruelty to children, according to the Muscogee County Superior Court Clerk’s Office.

Ashley Debelbot, 25, and Alfred Debelbot, 23, took their daughter, McKenzy, to Martin Army Community Hospital around 2 a.m. June 1, 2008, saying she had breathing problems. The parents had found a bump on the child’s head, called the hospital and were told to bring her in, a detective testified at their Columbus Recorder’s Court hearing.

The child later died, and the Debelbots were charged with murder on June 2, 2008.
From 2008 article:
Both told Tyner they woke up around 1:15 a.m., each saying the other woke them, the detective said. Ashley Debelbot then looked over at her daughter in a nearby bassinet.

"And she made a small, slight whimper," Tyner said of the child.

That's when the parents said they discovered the bump on McKenzy's head, Tyner said. Albert Debelbot called the hospital, and staff told him to bring in McKenzy.

The child was pronounced dead just before 4 a.m., and the Debelbots were charged with murder Monday afternoon.

"We had no choice but to charge them with murder," Tyner said.

A medical examiner with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the child's injuries could have come from being slammed against a wall, stomped on the head or a similar act.

The child was in the Debelbot's care for about 12 hours before she was taken to the hospital, and Tyner said neither could explain how their daughter received the injuries.

Shit. This makes me cry. I didn't even get to HOLD my daughter for the first time until she was 3 days old... These shitcunts couldn't have been discharged from the hospitol for more than a day, maybe 2.. WHAT THE SHIT IS THAT?

Jesus Christ. The child had been home from the hospital less than a day before these assholes beat it to death.

Why not just leave the baby at the fucking hospital if you didn't want to take care of it, you assholes?!?!

Well, she certainly can't say the baby was interfering with her beauty sleep.

12 hours? I am trying to think of a situation that would spur me to kill an ADULT in under 12 hours and short of protecting myself from death I couldn't really find a reason to kill. But a baby? What in the hell would make you want to even look funny at the baby let alone hurt a 3 day old baby? To hurt the baby so badly it results in death? That boggles my mind. Some people should never have been allowed to breath let alone produce.

Based on her page, they seem kind of normal and excited to be parents. I really wonder what happened. Did the baby roll off a bed or couch and neither of them wanted to admit it? Or worse?

This so doesn't look like the woman in the mugshot, though it must be her.

That must have been a rough pregnancy there at the end.

I agree - they seem happy and proud during the pregnancy. WTF happened?!

So are they covering for each other? Which fucker did this? 3 days old and dead already by the hands that are supposed to protect her. Neither one is worthy of such a gift. I hope they both rot in hell.

I am curious as to what exactly went wrong. Pictures depict a seemingly happy woman, soon mother to be....couple in love. But as we know, baby David Coronado, Jr (http://www.dreamindemon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12336&highlight=david+coronado). didn't get a chance either with seemingly happy couple/parents from some pictures....pictures can be deceiving while others speak volumes on truth.

Rest in peace baby McKenzy. You deserved a chance at life. I can imagine how precious and perfect... much helpless and innocent too you were. Kisses sweet one.

Ashley and Albert Debelbot, accused of causing the death of their 3-day-old child, were convicted of murder and cruelty to children Thursday.

Jurors returned after three hours of deliberations and found both Debelbots responsible for the June 2008 death of their daughter, Mc-Kenzy. Muscogee County Superior Court Judge Doug Pullen sentenced both to life in prison.

We were blessed with three lovely boys but we would have given anything for a little girl.
I am so glad they got life.... I hope it is a long suffering one in prison

When I read "stomped on her head" I literally felt like vomiting. how long could this child have been home before this happened?

I love my baby girl (18mons now) and when she was a new-born I'd sit for hours on end just rocking her and cuddling her. they are so precious, these monsters got whats coming to them.

Not meaning to defend anyone but I just had a thought.

I had a rough birth with my oldest son, he had bruises all over his face but most of them showed up on his 3rd day. Two black eyes and bruised lips, didn't get dark until day 3, however you could see the broken blood vessels in his eyes and his poor little swollen nose, immediately.
