SALEM – A Bay State man is accused of slapping and punching a two-year-old boy in the face, according to police.

Will Cordero, 21, of 4 Sheridan St., Lawrence, Mass., was arrested Friday night outside the Weathervane Restaurant on Route 28 and charged with second degree assault.

Police said they were called Friday night at 10:24 p.m. after a restaurant employee saw the child being hit by Cordero.

Witnesses, including family members, told police Cordero slapped the toddler several times while inside the restaurant. Cordero then allegedly took the child outside to the parking lot where he punched him in the head and face.

The toddler, accompanied by his mother, was taken by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital. He was treated for minor injuries and then released.

Police notified Massachusetts Department of Social Services concerning the incident.

What is the relationship - if any - between Cordero and the toddler?

Do we know? (I cannot get the link to work.)

Damn...it takes a real tough guy to punch a badass little 2 year old. Some of those toddlers are pretty tough.......

What a fuckin shithead. Not only does he punch a toddler, but he does it in a restaurant?? Toss him in jail...add on about 5 years just for stupidity.

Just guessing here but I am going to say he is mom's penis! Mom and family members were also in the restaurant (that makes me almost as mad because they didn't step in and stop it!)

Exactly - why in the blue hell did the mom not stab the SOB with the steak knife provided? She allowed it to happen inside the restaurant and then the dumb bitch let him take the child outside?!?!?!?!?!!? WTH? :brick:

Thank the good Lord, that the restaurant workers cared what happened to this child, a little. Why didn't the restaurant personnel call after the first slap? Starting with the big badass, next the mom, the others in the dinner party, and finally the restaurant staff itself, why was this child even smacked more than once? All are partly to blame and should be held accountable, in that order. But like I said, at least the restaurant staff did take the initiative to call authorities - we notice it wasn't the mom.

It's almost certainly mom's penis. To him, this kid is just some other guy's walking sperm, some impediment to him having mom all to himself. Asshole.

This makes me giggle. I think it is the word "provided". It makes it sound as though the restaurant supplied the steak knife for just this eventuality. Not that one would have any other uses for a steak knife at a steak house :wink:
