St. Louis (KMOV) – Charges have been issued against Jonathon J. Lodes, 21, in relation to a home invasion and sexual assault that occurred outside the city limits of St. Clair near Ridge Road early Saturday morning.
Lodes was charged with forcible rape on Saturday afternoon. Bond has been set at $100,000.00 cash only.
According to police, the victim reported that she was awoken around 4:00 a.m. on Saturday in her residence. Lodes allegedly assaulted the victim and fled the residence.
While canvassing the area following the assault, deputies encountered an individual at a residence in the area that fit the description of the suspect.
Witnesses later reported seeing Lodes in that area at around 3:00 a.m. The suspect was taken in to custody for investigation of rape. Police said Lodes later admitted to the assault.
