Tough love at its finest. Way to go Kizzy!!
The surveillance video from the gas station at North and Humboldt shocked many. Teenagers were seen ransacking the store, stealing candy and potato chips. But these images are also helping police identify the large crowd that took over the streets late Sunday night.
"Before I seen the images of my kids I'm thinking, what were these kids thinking," a mother said.
The mother, who only wants to be called Kizzy, realized it was her 13-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son on the tape.
"It's very disappointing. It's like, I'm sick to my stomach. Like really, this is what you do when I'm not around," Kizzy said.
"I slept on it because these are my children so what do you do at this point? So I woke up this morning, and we talked about it, and I just told them this was the decision I made. We're going to go to the police station," Kizzy said.
And she had a message for the parents of all the other kids seen on tape.
"If your kid was in that video, you need to bring them forward because you're letting them think it's OK," Kizzy said.
