Question about rep?

I have had both green and red reps, but I just got a gray one. WTF is that?

I never noticed colors. On the left side, there is a colored square. I've never seen a gray one. Morbid must be doing something with the site. I'm just not sure whether to thank the person or leave it alone????

Gray rep doesn't count as positive or negative. It's from somebody who hasn't been around for very long.

Green is positive; red is negative. If your rep goes negative enough, you get a red star instead of a copper star. I don't know about stars past the first red one, though; I suspect they are simply darker shades of red (possibly with a black star replacing the gold star, but that's nothing but a guess).

The grey rep means the giver has not established their cred yet. From the FAQ: "Neutral reputation is only given when the person giving reputation does not meet the criteria set by the administrator to affect someone else's reputation."

what is you have gold star and i used to have a few bronze and silvers too, but now I only have one gold star, and a bunch of little squares, what does that mean? Did I lose some rep or something?

It means you are about to banned.

It just means you got more rep so your line of bronze and silver turned into a gold star. Bronze to silver then to gold. The lines of squares are just to show how close you are to a new star. You are pretty close.
