Union, SC -- A 20-year-old Union man is facing sexual assault charges after his ex-girlfriend told police he claimed to have had sex with her 8- to 10-year-old relative.

According to the police report, 19-year-old Monica Dunn, who also faces charges, told police that the child was spending the night on April 19 at the apartment Dunn shared with James Hinson.

Dunn said that Hinson asked her to engage in group sex along with the child. When the child declined, Dunn said that Hinson offered to pay the child $50 to "take a shower with him."

She then told police that Hinson later bragged about having sex with the child in the shower.

Union Police said that they first learned of the alleged assault on April 28, when they were called to the couple's apartment at the Foxfire Apartments about an argument.

According to a police report, Dunn first told officers she just wanted to get her personal belongings from the apartment. Later, during her interview with police, she told officers that she "wanted to press charges" over what she said happened to her relative.

Hinson is charged with assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 16.

Police said they believe that Hinson has left Union County and may be in Chester County.

Dunn was arrested and is charged with being an accessory before the fact.

I agree she seems pissed off. I doubt very much that the cops just issued a warrant for his arrest based on her word alone. For one thing she is going to be charged as well and the victim is old enough to tell the cops what did or did not happen.

Dunn's being charged with allowing the child to be molested, she admits to standing outside the door while the man showered with the little girl. She also seemed to have no problem with the fact her old man was trying to get threesomes with little girls. She's either a degenerate or I assume drugs are very much involved.

Union, SC -- Officers are looking for a Union man after his ex-girlfriend said he bragged about having sex in a shower with an 11-year-old girl.

Union police said Monica Dunn, who also faces charges, told police that the child spent the night on April 19 at the apartment Dunn shared with James Hinson.

The police report indicated that Dunn was 19 years old, but according to her birthdate, she is 17.


Dunn said that Hinson asked her to engage in group sex along with the child.

When the child declined, Dunn said that Hinson offered to pay the child $50 to "take a shower with him."

Police said that Dunn told them that she told the child it was OK and she would wait outside the bathroom to make sure nothing happened.

Chief Sam White said, "During this, Ms. Dunn allowed this man to take advantage of this young lady sexually."

Officers said Hinson later bragged to Dunn about having sex with the child.

The child's mother said her daughter just wants to move on. But she said her grades have dropped and she has lost her sense of security.

"She was crying and hiding her face," the mother said. "She thought that I hated her and I didn't love her anymore and she thought I wouldn't want her."

She said those thoughts were planted in the head of her youngest daughter.

"She said the reason she didn't tell me is the person who did this to her told her that she would be in more trouble than he would and she would never see me again if she said anything."

Hinson is charged with assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 16.

Police said they believe that Hinson has left Union County and may be in Chester County.

After they spent weeks looking into the case, investigators decided to arrest Dunn on Wednesday.

She is charged with being an accessory before the fact.

Dunn's aunt said she didn't think Dunn should be charged because her niece didn't know Hinson was in the shower with the child.

"She's the one that turned it in," she said.

But police said that's not what Dunn told them, so the charge will stand.

White said, "It's just a sad case of someone allowing a child to be molested."

The mother said, "Sometimes I feel responsible because this happened to my daughter. I should've been there. But you know, I felt safe because she was with my niece."
