BELTON — A 58-year-old Belton man awaiting trial for sex crimes with bonds totaling $40,000 was arrested Tuesday in Anderson County and charged with molesting a minor.
William Franklin Adams of 107 McCoy Street is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor and committing a lewd act, according to records at the Anderson County Detention Center.
A bond has not been set for the latest charges.
Tuesday’s arrest has resulted in the fourth sex-related warrant involving a minor that has been issued in 10 months. None of the charges have been prosecuted, records show.
According to a warrant issued in August, Adams is accused of soliciting sex from a 14-year-old in exchange for a DVD, according to records in the Anderson County Clerk of Court’s office.
A judge ordered a $10,000 property bond on August 28, records show.
On December 31, Adams was arrested and charged with raping a child under the age of 11, according to court records.
According to the warrant, the first-degree criminal sexual conduct allegedly took place between 1977 and 1983.
On January 10, a judge ordered a $30,000 property bond, records show.
According to records at the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Adams is not listed as one of South Carolina’s sex offenders.
