Jesus Christ. I had a thread about this, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

The old arcade is gone. Obviously. I had also stated that it will not be brought back. This is true in regards to the old arcade, but not necessarily an arcade in general. I may implement the vBulletin arcade (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=101554) at a later date, but it really depends on the members here. If enough people decide they want it, I'll put it in.

I'll play it if it's there but I don't think it brings with it what it should. A lot of people use it and don't give two shits about the rest of the site. It's cool for those of us that are lurking around here between posts but it's not cool that people will only use that part of the site.

I'm not sure it's worth the bandwidth.

Oh, if I bring the arcade back, lurkers will not be using it this time. It is NOT worth the bandwidth if I am getting no reach-arounds in the form of forum\site participation...something the old arcade did not bring.

This time, if a user wants to use the arcade (if I bring it), there will be requirements to do so. From the Arcade:

Group-Permissions
you can set alot of permissions for each usergroup:
Access to the Arcade (can not view, can view but not play, can view and play)
total posts requirement
posts per day requirement
max. plays per day
can create Tournaments
which categories can be played

That's pretty sweet. Would it be possible to try it out after everything else gets situated? Then if it gets bad you just get rid of it.

That one game where you click on the balls of the same color to make that color go bye-bye and the more of one color you click on the higher your score... I've played it forever but can't remember the name!

I don't really care one way or the other, but my kid was quite bummed when he discovered the arcade was gone. I don't care much either way. Most of the time I played games on the thing is when I was drunk and bored.

Although, having a new arcade would give Rich_Dude a reason to come back to defend his title as the user with the most trophies. :D

I remember when I was champ for a week. Then Rich_Dude came through and took all my trophies. Nothing like opening your PM box to find 20 messages reading "Trophy Lost!".
