Our first podcast is uploading. No telling when it will be available, since we are shelling out the big bucks for a free hosting service. So, what can you expect from the DreaminDemon podcast? Intelligent banter. Side-splitting humor. Sexy voices. The latest front-page news analysis from the authors themselves. Questions from you, our beloved forum denizens. And the best part of all: Hate-mail!
All of this in a mere 30-50 minutes. How do we do it? Chipmunk voices.
So, look up at our main nav-bar and check out the new "Podcast" link. It will take you to our weekly podcast entry, where you can comment on the awesomeness that is our verbosity. Click here to check it out. (http://www.dreamindemon.com/podcast)
So, if we have this kick-ass Podcast page, what the hell is this thread for? World domination, baby. We need to spread the message, so leave comments on the Podcast page, and also discuss the episodes here. Ask some questions and you may be featured in future shows. Do some stupid shit in Drunk Chat and you certainly will be. And finally, keep being your abrasive, callous selves so the Hate-Mail segment never misses a week.

No, we did 10 minute breaks just to keep the sizes manageable. Also, in the future we hope we can use those breaks to place other types of content.

Yeah, the hour-long show went to 40 minutes. It's as if I utter "cock" while I am trying to think of what I'll say next.
I have some brand of homo-specific tourette's.
Edit: The Hate-Mail giggle-fest was off the hizzy fo' shizzle, yo. My wife heard the podcast while she was getting dressed, and she was laughing her ass off. I was crying. The best part is the precedent being set. Next time we get to Hate-Mail, you are going to be perfectly in control, but as SOON as you start reading your response, you are going to lose your shit. Actually, if we alternate with the Hate-Mail response, whoever is reading is going to have a hard time getting through it. Because we are all going to be thinking about it, and we will all be AWARE that the other two people are thinking about it.
I can't wait.

Sorry for some of the technical glitches as well. Imp may have been a half-sec out of sync in portions, there were some echo moments and such, but hey...it was our first. We learned a lot from it so the upcoming podcasts should get better technically....I cannot promise anything about the content. :)
But we have broken the ice...and I am notorious for not shutting the fuck up once the ice has been broken.

I know, I was thinking the same thing. Every single hate mail segment forever will have to live up to the hype of the gigglefest.
And where the hell are we gonna get hate mail writers that consistently set the bar for that kind of stupidity?
Oh, wait. Heh.

Of course, if she were around, she wouldn't have been referred to that way.

Another suggestion for a future podcast--pick the article/post/thread of your own or of each other's that's your favorite/funniest/most brilliant/most memorable/etc.
For example, if I were picking one of swivel's, I'd pick the one where he describes showing his dad D'D. I still go back and read that one when I need to laugh.

Holy shit, Swivel does sound like H. John Benjamin. I knew he sounded like someone I was familiar with, but just couldn't place it.
To be honest I only half heard most of the first segment because I was trying to place the voice.
Then I only half heard the rest because I kept waiting for Swivel to say:
"Brandon, never get a tattoo of a cheese cow on your arm."
But somehow it never came up.
Morbid's the only one I thought had an accent.
I vaguely remember thinking Imp had the slightest accent when I first talked to her, but I don't hear it anymore.

LMAO Good job again guys. OK you had to know I was going to critique your “Canadian” accents in your skit right??
Swivel - Not to enlarge your helmet or anything but you could pass for a Canadian. Of the 3 of you I would say you have no accent, which I suppose coming from me means you talk like me.
Imp - LMAO at all the “eh’s”. What’s funny is I don’t know anyone here who says “eh”. Sort of a pop culture thing from the early eighties. You don’t really have an accent by my standards anyway. You have a radio voice though, it’s very clear and articulate….of and SEXY!!
Morbid - You my friend could never pass for a Canuck! LOL Your accent is very southern and reminds me of a cowboy, or a cowboy fantasy I have. It’s just masculine and sexy with a southern drawl.

I'll admit that was the first time I've ever listen to any podcast from anyone. Now I think I'm hooked.
You had me talking back to the confuser as if you could hear me. :)
I'm interested in the equipment used and the technical side of doing it. Is there anything 'special" used to produce it?
Maybe for the future a place to host user submited pocasts? Say when a story envokes such emotion as to drive one to rant about it in a podcast? {wait, that could be out of control in a hurry}
Imp's input was a tad loud, and swivel's was a tad low. Morbid's was ok-slightly low. IMO Music was a touch loud, but then again I'm more of a country music kinda guy.
Keep in mind that since moving I have not hooked up the Bose and I'm using crappy speakers built into the monitor, so that could be my problem with the audio.

The volume issue is mine. Since we all three use different equipment and hardware (not me and Imp, though) and we all are probably recording at different levels, when I get all the tracks, our levels are whacked. In actuality, Swivel is perfect aside from his mic picking up either air or rubbing against his face (or dick if you talk to him). Imp's is great as she has a great voice, but her mic picks up her headphones when she is not talking. Mine do the same thing, but just like in real life and on the phone, when I get going, I am hard to shut up and I start YELLING into whatever device is handy...a phone...a mic...your ear...
I have never done this before so we are all kinda learning as we go. The issue with this one was that it was recorded over three days. That's why our voices sound different in some spots.
For the next one, we have already learned a system that should keep the volumes better. In fact, I may replace the one we have right now with an updated one with the volumes corrected. We'll see.
Bare with us...we are kinda going into this like we do everything else with this site. Completely blind.

Yeah, i was cringing at my volume by the end, no lie. Between that and Gone Baby, Gone i was ready to slit my wrists and call it a night. (Great movie, by the way, just what I needed after a full day of Amber Alerts and babykillers.)
I would like to point out that Morbid added a lot of extra "eh"s I never said. But it was funny, eh? The entire of my Canadian imitation experience comes from Kids In The Hall.
I think i might be in love with Morbid's friend who played Venditta. Especially when the drawl comes through. I need pics and an IQ score on that guy.
And i respectfully decline to answer re: whether i like it when Swivel's mean to me, because if I say no, he gets meaner, and if I say yes, he gets meaner. ;)
