A St. Petersburg woman faces DUI and other charges after she crashed into a motorized scooter and continued driving home with the scooter lodged under the BMW, police said.
Jessica J. Eddy, 22, was heading east on Third Avenue South about 11:30 p.m. Friday when she turned onto 64th Street South and collided with the scooter, which was northbound on 64th Street, police said
Bruce W. Barber Jr., 20, apparently tried to avoid the wreck by putting the scooter on its side.
Eddy didn't stop, police said. She drove to her home, a few blocks away at 6424 Emerson Ave. S., where officers found the scooter under the 1987 BMW.
Barber was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Eddy was not injured.
