I've been getting this warning message when I use Google Chrome browse, off and on the last week or so. Never saw it before so thought I'd ask, anyone else getting this?

t's free and I would put my dog's life on the line for it because if he doesn't stop barking he's toast anyway.

I haven't received it here...but I have in the past on other sites....when i had a virus.

You click that bestndeal.com site...they con you into "saving" your computer...BAM! You're virused AND your bank account is lighter.

DO NOT CLICK IT. Do a system clean-up thingy-ma-jigger. Or ask someone who knows the name. LOL!

That is weird because I have WOT on my P.C. and it is pretty picky but lets me in here just fine? Is there a possibility, that you may have downloaded or installed, something that had a web browser security attached? For example when you install programs, do you just click next, next, next, finish, without reading it? You can go to add remove programs and a list of all your installed programs should come up, if you see something that does:rock::rock:nt belong remove it. Good Luck

There are occasions when an ad gets put into rotation (I have no control over it) that can trigger warnings.

Yes, I have experienced the warning too... my avast virus program picks it up.

My anti-virus only picks things up if I click on them THEN warns me. I would shoot my computer for warning me about things it thinks I "might maybe do".

It pops up on this site here and there when I hit the "Quick Links" tab. Never have gotten a virus, I think it might be the ads that fuck with my anti virus program. It says it is a re-direct virus, but I know it isn't..... I have never gotten a virus from anything on this site. :stupido3:

I'm using Google Chrome and I have had no problems... in fact I like it very much...

Except every now and then Google Chrome says "oops Google Chrome can't find Google.com" what the heck is up with that?

Yeah, me too Rockin. I've been using it awhile now and had no problems until recently. I think it was something to do with the black list corruption that is now fixed....glad I was getting real frustrated!

You want to make sure you use only one anti-virus at a time, using more than one will they will cancel each other out, then you are basically unprotected, getting the message shows your antivirus was working, you would rather be told than not told and have a virus, right? Avast is good for free but if you get a few $$$ to spend you can buy Norton Antivirus 2010 for 39$, when you do buy it you have access to free tech support for a year and Symantec/Norton is a bad ass virus kicking company that will log in remotely and clean everything up. You only need one program running though... Whatever you do if you get one of those pop up windows telling you that you have a virus and you need to buy something, dont buy it!, that program itself is a form of a virus... call Symantec... they will wipe it out for you... I am the IT "guy" at my job but since we are a small office I also do other jobs and learn all this stuff from the main IT guy at Corporate...

Atta girl, silvahalo68

Use AVG for free internet security, Free Firefox for no hassle, and run free spybot once a week, make sure to update and imunize.

That is a recipe for a no problem computer.

BTW spybot does an excellent job, you can can donate to them if you want.

Seriously I never have a problem and i am all over the place, as well as two kids.
