Just got done with Chapter 16.

Damn. So that explains David's condition. Once again, David's incident with his wife and child hit real close to home and some fears I had when I was in a similar relationship. Not fears you thought of everyday, just when you laid down at night and did the REAL thinking before you went to sleep.

Could someone hate you so much that they would do the one thing they knew that would destroy you? I would almost have anxiety attacks thinking of shit that David went through when he walked into that apartment.

Great book, so far. I even did some reading on the Gullah culture.
