LOL remember when you were a kid and were afraid to eat watermelon seeds, afraid they would grow in your stomach? Well apparently it can happen, it just wasn't a watermelon...


Ron Sveden had been coughing for months, but doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong.

Finally, one made a startling discovery — a plant was growing in his lungs.

It seems the Brewster, Mass., man had been eating peas, one went down the wrong pipe, then grew to an inch-and-a-half in his lung, collapsing it.

My Dad always said You would grow watermelons out of your butt if you ate the seeds.

Geez maybe there was some truth to that. LOL :crazy:

My Grandmother Helen said my mom was helping her sort pinto beans when she was a toddlerette and unknown to her put a few in her nose. She said about 2 to 3 weeks went by and my mom was acting irrational and could not breath out of her nose. Grand took tweezers to her sinus cavity and they had sprout 2 to 3 inches in each nostril. I am convince it would have been fatal if they continued to grow.
