PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KAN. -- A man's plot to invade a Johnson County woman's home came to an end before it happened.
Johnson County Sheriff's Department said good police work saved a woman from being kidnapped in her Prairie Village home.
Police said William Larry Fletcher, Jr., 41, is charged with criminal solicitation for aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary.
According to court documents Fletcher asked someone to help him kidnap a 64-year-old woman.
Police said they don't know if the victim knew Fletcher, but police said he knew who she is, and wanted to kidnap her.
Police said an informant tipped them off to Fletcher's kidnapping plan before he could carry it out.
Fletcher Jr. is expected to make his first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
