SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County Police (http://www.wtop.com/?nid=733&inform_keyword=Montgomery+County+Police) are looking for a Silver Spring (http://www.wtop.com/?nid=733&inform_keyword=Silver+Spring) man they say raped a relative, a 10-year-old girl.
It happened Monday at a home in the New Hampshire (http://www.wtop.com/?nid=733&inform_keyword=New+Hampshire) Estates Park area of Silver Spring.
Police say when 29-year-old Jose Israel (http://www.wtop.com/?nid=733&inform_keyword=Israel) Acosta-Ortega was confronted by a family member, he fled on foot.
Detectives from the Family Crimes Division have obtained an arrest warrant charging Acosta-Ortega with second-degree rape and sexual abuse of a minor.
Acosta-Ortega is described as a Hispanic male, 5' 5" tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black and tan shirt with tan pants.
Anyone with information regarding Acosta-Ortega's whereabouts is asked to call police at 301-279-8000.
