3 held captive for retaliation in sexual assault

PORT HADLOCK, Wash. – Five people have been arrested after a bizarre attack in which three of the suspects were held captive inside a Port Townsend-area home in an act of retaliation.

Two men are being held for illegal detention and assault. Their three alleged victims are being held on investigation of child molestation.

"I had to say and do what they said to say and do, or they will kill us" said Honey Hassett. She says she, her boyfriend and another man were lured into a home in the 200 block of Four Corners Road Saturday and held captive for several hours.

Hassett says several men threatened and then beat her boyfriend with a stick and a baseball bat.

During a break in the beating, the three of them managed to escape. They ran into a yard next door and got help.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office arrested two men, including Randy Yackulik. After some more investigating, detectives determined Yackulik was retaliating against his three victims for allegedly molesting his 14-year-old daughter a day earlier.

"So now, the assault victims have been taken into custody," said Jefferson Co. Undersheriff Tony Hernandez.

I have to say...If i found out my 14 year old had been sexually assaulted, I would feel like doing the same thing this father did!

The 3 that were being held captive are now up on sexual assault charges....
Donald Hassett, 30, Harriet Smith, 39, and Jaren Hackman, 22.

The 2 that were accused of holding the 3 captive are being held on assault and unlawful imprisonment.....
Richard Lance Cubley, 43, and Randall Lee Yackulic, 45.
There is also a third charged with imprisonment, no name has been released.

I truly feel for the cops trying to straighten all this out...sounds like a clusterfuck of charges to wade through here. Gives me a headache just thinking about it...

I give the dad a high five! If I was in the same situation I am sure that I would have reacted the same way, although I would have made sure that these sicko's wouldn't ever be touching another child again.

This is why, as good as it sounds, I don't advocate vigilantism. Now this poor 14 year old not only has to suffer the trauma of being raped, but she may suffer guilt as the result of her father's imprisonment.

People, if something fucked up happens to someone you love, just call the cops. Don't even consider taking the law into your own hands until after it has failed you.

I totally feel what your saying, i just honestly don't know if under similar circumstances concerning my own daughter I would be able to refrain from responding in a violent manner.
