FL - Deadrina Wilson, 10 months old, died Sunday when an apartment in the Auburn Trace development caught fire at about 4 a.m. Parents David Wilson, 28, and Nicole Heath, 31, were not home.

Deadrina was with seven stepbrothers and stepsisters under the age of 16 who all escaped unharmed. Firefighters found the baby's body in his parents' bed.

Police spokesman Jeff Messer said the fire appears to have been an accident and that the parents will not be charged unless "something comes back from the medical examiner saying that the baby died from something other than that fire."

The boy's father refused to talk Monday, saying only, "I'm tired."

An administrator at the state Department of Children and Families said his agency had received previous abuse or neglect allegations about Deadrina's family.

He was another mouth to feed and the other kids knew it. I know that sounds horrible but it is what it is.

Kinda wondering why he was in the parents bed to begin with.. or maybe the step siblings weren't happy about his presence anyhow... sad to say but it happens.

Is it just a bad picture, or is there something wrong with that baby. His hands and face look disproportionately large.

When I first opened the story and glanced at the photo, I thought it was going to be about the baby being injured in the fire then dying later. I was debating with myself on the degree of tackiness involved in stating that the baby was not a particularly attractive infant.

I wondered if there was something wrong with the baby too. Then again I have one of the best looking babies evarz, so I might be biased.

Seriously. The baby's name was Deadrina. When the first four letters of your name are DEAD, what chance do you really have?

OMG how true is that. That reminds me of a case I had several years ago. I had removed 2 kids from their home because mommy was a drunken crack head. Mommy got herself pregnant once again and went to rehab as the judge told her she wouldn't be keeping this baby either unless she did. I had to go to the hospital when the baby was born to take custody until the judge decided if she could keep this one or not. I am sitting with the mother filling out the paperwork and I ask her for the babies name. She says what sounds like Shithade but I ask her how to spell it. She tells me it is spelled S-H-I-T-H-E-A-D! :great:

Illiterate crackhead!

People! That is a newborn baby pic! Newborn babies are always ugly, I don't care how cute you think they are!

Which makes you think, if that baby was 10 months old already, why didn't they have a more recent pic of him?

He may have just been a forgotten child period. So sad.

Oh yeah, and Deadrina is a girls name. Why would they do that?

EDIT: The boys name is actually Deadrian. Much better.

He looks like a newborn to me, all newborns looks funny.

The name is awful though, and a little fem.
I know someone who told me that when they worked in the hospital, a woman was excited to notice that the hospital already named her baby, "Fe Male E", that is how she sounded it out.
She saw the card on the bassinet thing and Female with the last name was written on it, she did name the baby Female, pronounced FeMaleE.

Hey Mom of Four I've got a bad baby name from a crackhead story! These two friends of mine were in the process of adopting two siblings through foster care when they found out the mom was pregnant again. They were asked if they wanted the new baby also as the mom would not be allowed to keep it. They said ok even though my friend was pregnant at the time to keep all the kids together.

So the mom has the baby and the social worker goes to the hospital to pick it up. Out of spite (she admitted it) she named that baby Jeri Rig Brenda Schoolhouse Theodosia Black.

They renamed her Grace.

Yeah, newborn pictures are always terrible!

I remember when I was in the hospital the nurse who took Jakob's picture told me it would be a good shot since he was wide awake and wasn't half asleep like most babies are but I cried when I saw it! My son looked like a spawn of Dr. Evil and he still had somewhat of a cone shaped head.

So I am betting little Deadrian was probably a big baby and that first picture isn't doing him any justice. I hope this was accidental and he wasn't dead before the fire :(

I still think Deadrina's hands are freakishly large. They look as big as his face.

This story says the parents are unlikely to face charges and unless foul play is discovered no one probably will.

Neighbors are not surprised that she wasn't home at 4am since her children were never supervised by adults.

The grandfather also confirmed that this is the second child his daughter has lost within 9 years. The first child was a two month old boy who suffocated on his mother's bed by accident.

Same link as my last post now has updates.

An investigation conducted by Delray Beach Fire-Rescue, Delray Beach Police Department, and State Fire Marshal Office revealed the fire was caused by one of the children who admitted burning incense in the bedroom. This accidental fire resulted in the death of a 10 month old infant.

Preliminary findings of the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner revealed that the cause of death for the infant De'Adrian Wilson was smoke inhalation.
