So, they killed the girl foster child and let the boy sleep and then took off with their bio kids?
I wonder if either adults probably beat the girl, realized they beat her too much when she died, decided to leave the boy there and flee?

CNN) -- Arrest warrants have been issued for a southern California couple who may have fled to Mexico after authorities found a dead child in their home, a police spokeswoman told CNN Tuesday.
[...]
Police want to question Alberto Garcia, 26, and Carla Garcia, 26, about the child's death and check on the well-being of three other children believed to be accompanying them.
"We believe they are in a border town," said Sgt. Mary DeGeare with the Bakersfield Police Department.
Police have issued murder and felony child endangerment warrants and are still working on obtaining an unlawful flight warrant through the FBI, DeGeare said.
"We want to take them into custody for the murder, but we are more concerned with the children's welfare," she added.
The three children believed to still be with the couplehave been identified as Carlos Joe Solvalvarro, 9; Crystal Garcia, 5; and Alberto Garcia Jr., 4. Police corrected earlier statements made to CNN that Carlos Joe Solvalvarro was 10.
Solvalvarro's father is worried about the safety of his son while he's with his mother and stepfather. Solvalverro told CNN affiliate KBAK that he's had tifts with the stepfather in the past and his ex-wife is short-tempered.
"The father just likes to pick on smaller people than him," Solvalvarro told KBAK.

The father of a boy, believed to have been taken to Mexico by a couple wanted for the murder of a foster child, is pleading for his son's safe return.
Serenity Gandara, 3, was found dead at her Bakersfield foster home Sunday morning.
Tuesday, murder warrants were issued for the arrest of her foster parents, Carla Garcia, 26 and Alberto Garcia, 26. Police said the Garcias likely fled to Mexico, along with Carla’s three other children, one of whom is the son of her ex-husband, Carlos Sobalvarro, Jr.
“I'm worried. I just want him to come back,” Sobalvarro said about his 9-year-old son, Carlos Sobalvarro III.
[...]
“He never complained to me about being hurt by them, but this just happened so I am worried,” Sobalvarro Jr. said.
[...]
Sobalvarro does not know Alberto that well, but he was married to Carla for five years. “She just gets upset quickly,” he said. He is also concerned because police said the couple is likely in Mexico, and Carlos III does not speak Spanish.
“They can send him back if they don't want to come back. I know they don't want to come back, if they can send him back somehow. I'll go pick him up or whatever I can,” he said.

Meantime, there are serious accusations against Child Protective Services. Serenity’s maternal grandmother, Maria Garcia, said CPS retaliated against her after she criticized a social worker for allegedly ignoring reports that Serenity and her brother, 4-year-old Isaiah, were being abused at their foster home.
"You needed to take care of thing when I told you what happened with my kids the other kids. You never listen to me," Maria Garcia said she told the social worker.
Serenity was found dead at the home of her foster parents, Carla and Alberto Garcia, who is Maria’s son. Isaiah was found sleeping in a bedroom.
[...]
Maria says the CPS worker went to her home while she was at the coroner's office making arrangements to get Serenity's body. She said Serenity’s younger sister, Juliana, 1, was safe at the home with her uncle and several children, but after Maria retuned and then criticized the worker for Serenity's death, the CPS employee took Juliana, and told Maria it was because she left the toddler at home, albeit with family.
"Why you take away my baby she is fine?" Maria said she asked the CPS employee.
Hours after 17 News called CPS Monday, and asked a spokeswoman why they took Juliana, the little girl was returned, with no explanation from authorities. The CPS spokeswoman told us they are not legally allowed to comment on the case.
Garcia says she wanted to be the foster mother for the other children as well, and she is going to fight to get custody of Isaiah.http://www.kget.com/news/local/story/Grandmother-of-murdered-foster-child-said-CPS/e8uKKWdXIkmjzNOqZw81yg.cspx

Relatives say goodbye to Serenity

Relatives of slain 3-year-old Serenity Julia Gandara went to her funeral Friday, even though they had been pretty much shut out of the last year of her life.
That didn't stop them from remembering the happy, smiling little girl they hadn't seen in person since spring 2009. They were relegated to phone inquiries, which as one grandmother reported, always ended with "the kids are fine" -- even as late as the day before she was found dead.
The girl's mother, Yesenia Garcia, 22, said she used to see her daughter twice a week when she was in the care of Child Protective Services, but after her brother, Alberto Garcia and his wife, Carla, took the child into their home, Carla stopped the visits.
Serenity and her brother were removed by CPS from Yesenia Garcia's care because of her past reported drug problems. It is unknown why the children were put in Alberto and Carla's home, although it is the general policy of CPS to put children with relatives.
Police are looking for 26-year-old Alberto and Carla Garcia, who are believed to have fled to Mexico with their natural children -- a 9-year-old son born to Carla in a previous marriage and a boy and girl, ages 4 and 5, born in the couple's relationship. [...]

They've been arrested in Mexico.
A Bakersfield couple wanted in connection with the death of a 3-year-old girl were arrested in Mexico, a spokeswoman for the FBI said.
Alberto and Carla Garcia have been wanted since July 18, 2010, when the girl was found dead in the couple’s home. Her 4-year-old brother was found sleeping in a room nearby. The Garcias were believed to have fled the home with their three young children.
The Bakersfield Californian reported that the Kern County coroner found blunt force trauma to be the cause of death. Neighbors told the newspaper that the family seemed happy, but police said the 3-year-old and her brother had "scars and marks in various stages of healing, including recent injuries."
Details about the circumstances leading to the couple’s arrest were not immediately available. They have been in custody for a few weeks, and the FBI is working with Bakersfield police to bring them back, said FBI spokeswoman Gina Swankie.
