JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- A 21-year-old man sharing a tent in the woods with a 12-year-old girl reported missing more than a week ago was arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious battery, according to the Jacksonville Beach police.

Officers said they found Daniel Rollins and the girl lying naked in the tent on Monday morning. The girl had been missing from her Jacksonville home since April 24.

According to police, Rollins admitted to having sex with the girl at least three times and knowing that she was 12.

Investigators do not believe that the victim was held against her will or kidnapped.

Rollins was being held without bond in the Duval County Jail.

I think you are right and that's his page Imp. I put the pictures side by side and they look like the same guy, one with facial hair and one without.

yeah, i am particularly interested in his top friend, who does not look a day over eleven. And she updated on May 3.

But there's another Myspace of a girl who says she's 18 but clearly is not (she has a dozen pics of Jo-Jo in her albums, ffs), and he's her top friend as well - her last login was March 4. I could buy a little girl getting grounded off the computer.

I'm working on a few research avenues - I think there might be more interesting info to come out of this story.

Oh I was just looking thru his friends and there are a couple of little girls on there. One has her age as 81 and she changed her mood to sick today. She looks to be about 12. Her name is Sami.

I wonder how many parents are wandering around thinking their kids are safe on MySpace because their profiles are set to "Private" BUT never look at their kid's site to see who is on the Friends List.

This guy is homeless. Look at his picture. It was taken in a library or school. He was living in a tent and has multiple convictions for trespassing. That is what they usually give to homeless folks.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL -- For three days, police say a thick wooded area was home to a 12-year-old girl and her 21-year-old boyfriend. The two were living at a transient camp just north of JTB.

The girl's mother tells First Coast News her daughter ran away more than a week ago. The mother went to pick the girl up from Southside Middle School but then found out she had skipped her last two classes. They later discovered she was with Daniel Rollins. Investigators say the two had met three months ago and were in a relationship.

"They finally decided they wanted to be boyfriend and girlfriend. She ran away, she came out here, she finally found him on Friday and they've been living in a tent for three days until the police found them," says Sgt. Tom Bingham with Jacksonville Beach Police.

Detectives say the girl's parents received a tip from one of her friends about where she was. After searching one camp with no luck, police later discovered her at another one. She was in the tent, lying naked with Rollins.

"They were both interviewed as far as what had happened prior. They both admitted to having sex with each other. He was arrested and she was transported back to her parents," says Sgt. Bingham.

Her mother says even though this wasn't her daughter's first time running away, she's hoping this was the last.

Police say Daniel Rollins has a criminal history between Duval and Clay counties of burglary, grand theft and larceny. In this case he is charged with lewd acts upon a child.

According to police reports the 12-year-old girl had recently been returned by police after running away back in March.

Investigators say when she first met Rollins, she told him she was 16. A month later he discovered she was 12 but the two remained together.

That was why I got a page. My son told me he had one, so I signed up right away. He was 17 or so, but still. He went right on my buddy list. then alot of his friends that know me added me! Haha. Poor kid. He has always had a crazy mom that was always in his business.
It kept him out of ALOT of trouble though!
