Houston dad accused of putting toddler's feet in scalding bathwater
HOUSTON – A Houston toddler suffered second-degree burns to his feet and ankles after police say his father put him in scalding bathwater.

Vincent Itulu is facing felony injury to a child charges in connection with the incident.

Investigators said they were referred to the case by CPS caseworkers after the 19-month-old was taken to Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in June with burns.

According to court documents, when investigators interviewed Itulu, he told them the child was injured while getting a bath.

Itulu said he was pouring water from a plastic bowl over the boy while the boy stood in a tub.

When the boy started shivering, Itulu said he turned up the temperature.

After the bath was over, Itulu said he noticed the boy’s feet were red and swollen, so he called his wife.

The wife told him to take the boy to a friend’s house to see if she could help, and the friend advised the wife to call for an ambulance.

Court documents said doctors who examined the boy found evidence that contradicted Itulu’s account.

They said there should have been burns to other parts of the boy’s body if Itulu was pouring the hot water from the tub over him with a bowl.

Investigators later went to the home and filled a five-inch bath in the tub using hot water and then a combination of hot and cold water. In both cases, investigators said the water temperature quickly reached a high enough level to cause burns to a child’s skin in a matter of minutes.

So why did he lie about pouring the water over the child? What purpose did that serve?

I really wish that for part of their punishment these assholes could have the same treatment dished out on them so they can see how it feels. I don't understand how these fuckers can't sympathize with the pain that they are inflicting. It's like when I watch a movie and the murderer/abuser/whatever begs for mercy when he's about to get his ass served. It's ok to get pleasure out of hurting others, but as soon as it comes to them receiving pain, they beg pathetically.....pussies. I laugh every time I see that in a show/movie. I just wish it could happen all the time in real life!

Now bear with me here on this one. Let's say for a minute that this guy is telling the truth...I know we never see that happen here but I am in a pretty good mood today. So if he was giving baby a bath and then after said bath of pouring water on the baby pushed the drain down and turned the water on the tub would still fill faster then the water could drain so this could happen. They said using a combo of both hot & cold it still got hot enough to cause a burn. And only 5 inches of water, would only take minutes to become hot and burn the baby.

Yea, I don't think I'm ready to hold court on this one just yet. I mean it looks like the father didn't try to hide anything and he went to get help immediately. And I know there's a difference of just getting into hot water vs the water heating up (in a matter of MINUTES) to make the skin red and irritated.

But what do I know?
