Member Appreciation, New Author, and Other Sappy Shit

We have been discussing how to handle this for almost a month, but there isn't really a fair way of doing it. We wanted to show our appreciation to you guys every now and then by giving away some free shit. Nothing big, as we are broke...but maybe a T-shirt here or there, or a movie or two...maybe some Amazon GC. These are things we plan on doing, but we have a few other pressing things to take care of first.

However, we all got together and discussed this and figured we would pick 6 members to give out some T-shirts to. Nothing fancy, just our white T-shirts with the logo. And before anyone gets all "why was *insert member* picked and not me?" on us...shut up. We don't have to give away anything at all. In fact, if we had it our way, we would give you all gold and sex on a daily basis, but let's be a bit realistic.

So let's not string this out.

I don't think there really needs to be an explanation for this, as these ladies are here every single day posting story after story and the comments that go with them. Hippie, bless her heart, has actually gotten a book forum active and interesting.

Now, for our new Author, Indrid Cold. Me and Imp get contacted on occasion from people who want to contribute to the front page. This particular gentlemen did so PLUS sent along some examples of his work. We liked it and figured we would give him a shot. He is not full-time, as he is actually an author of true crime and his plate stays pretty full, but me and Imp are getting busier with fan mail and having sex with fans so new staff was bound to happen.

We will also be looking for people to help run our Myspace pages and a couple other things coming up. but I will make an announcement when those particular needs need to be met.

But again, we really, really appreciate every last one of you. This decision did not come from any type of favoritism, but simply a heartfelt thanks to as many people we had enough money to thank with something tangible. :) And yes, we did use the vBExperience to help us out. ;) But regardless, this site would exist without any of you, but it would have sucked. You all make it worth spending almost every waking hour on this fucking site. :)

This is not the last time we do this, as we will probably try and make this a monthly thing...depending on funds of course.In any event, thanks for sticking around.
