vBulletin, this forum software, has been upgraded to version 3.7. This release is a mjaor one as it adds a lot of stuff to the forums. Some is administrative, but a lot is not. This includes Social Networking, extended profiles, thread tagging, photo albums, and user created social groups.

For all the details, see this thread:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=249460

Now, this is the deal. I want to move to this pretty quickly. Within the next couple weeks. The issue is that this move MAY break some of our plugins. A big one will be the Advanced profiles we currently have running. This update has something similar already integrated. I am also thinking of installing their blog plugin that allows for each member to have their own blog. We will see on that one.

But the reason for this is that I have to go over all of our plugins, see what is 3.7 compatible or not, and then see what kind of pain in the ass this update may be. But we are updating and it may cause issues. I do not plan on doing this live like I usually do, and will shut the forums down on the day I do this (the front pages of both sites will be unaffected). I have not set a date, but when I do, this is the thread that will be used for that announcement.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

And to address that. The white pages and double-posts were not the result of any upgrade or mod (which I wish I knew before I started troubleshooting it) but rather a simple memory issue with PHP. It was resolved simply with one line of code. The error showed up simply because of our increased traffic.

Simply put.

Simply put.

It's amazing how many times that I used that word in such a short span, and didn't even realize it.

You need an editor.

Nah. It just wouldn't be the same. :)

But it would be simpler.

It may be simpler, but to simply get an editor to help correct simple mistakes like using variations of the word simple too many times in a simple post, could make me feel like a simpleton. Simply put, even f that were the case...and I was a simpleton for using using words like simple too many times in a simple post, I simply do not want to feel that way.

I think you meant "if."

I thought he was just using the 'f' word.

Surely, we can all use some simplification.
