Another movie that has had fans screaming for a decent DVD release for ages is finally happening in the form of a Two-Disc Anniversary Edition (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000Q6GUKM/dreamindemon-20). Not much to say about this film aside from it being a fun film from the director of Night of the Creeps and the writing of Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang). The film has a good amount of action and great creature effects from FX master, Stan Winston. The set is reported to include 2 audio commentary tracks, deleted scenes, a making of featurette, trailers, as well as a Tom Noonan interview.

I must shamefully admit to never having seen that film. But from all the hype surrounding it, I've been waiting on this dvd for a while, so when it hits shelves, I may well blind buy this. Of course, with there being several thousand other DVDs I want, how soon I get this disc remains to be seen.

I usually hate seeing a comment like this as I am so afraid that the hype far outweighed the film and the viewer will come away disappointed.

But in the case of this film, I think you will still like it. It really is pretty good. The one thing you will notice, if my memory serves me correctly, is that while it looks like a kids film; some of the dialog and scenes are not. Kinda has a Gremlins vibe.

Well, how much of a dissapointment could it possibly be after the train wreck that was Jesus Christ: Serial Rapist?

I was speaking more on the "movie hype > hyped movie" syndrome. I can't possibly imagine Jesus Christ: Serial Rapist being hyped anymore than Cheerleader Autopsy was. :)

Finally. I've been hearing about this movie since I started reading horror boards and I also hope it lives up to the hype.

It's pretty awesome in a Goonies sort of way.

I enjoyed it. It's a better homage to classic movie monsters than Van Helstink was.

Almost here! My son wants to watch this one bad. I have a bootleg, but it just doesn't do it justice.
