YouTube - It's Alive (2008) Remake Trailer

Here is the trailer recently released for It’s Alive, the remake of the 1974 horror film. For those of you who may not remember the original film, it detailed a couple’s dilemma when they give birth to a mutant baby that kills people when it gets scared. It was written and directed by Larry Cohen and spawned a few sequels. This version will be directed by Josef Rusnak and stars Bijou Phillips and James Murray.

Looks all right.

I only wished they made this the kind of anti-Juno movie I'd hoped for. You know, a sassy young pregnant underage chick getting ripped to shreds by a mutant baby would do wonders for rilling up the censors and garnering attention, it'd be ballsier anyways. Plus I'm disappointed that the kid no longer looks the part of a hideous mongoloid.

If there's not a mutated baby puppet visibly being moved by a stick and puppeteer..... count me out.

At least they're trying to attempt making it a scary movie, as opposed to rehashing the campy tone of the first.

Kyle, if there are any good remakes it's one like this!
A movie that most people have never heard of!
I think this is a perfect movie to remake.

Others they should think about remaking...
Prophecy(with the mutant bear)
The Beast Within
Motel Hell
Funhouse
Patrick
Fade to Black
The Car
The Brood

All dumb but good 70/80s horror that might be good if remade!

Wile I personally think The Brood is an absolute masterpiece that doesnt need remaking at all I get where you are coming from and I agree, The movies that coluld do most with a remake are the ones that had a good premise you can rip but didnt deliver the goods for other reasons, doe em again to see if this time you can get it rigth, not the ones that are considered clasics and there is almost no chance of doingthem bether.

This one kind of falls in that category, the original had a great premise but was kind of shity in execution.

Remakes scare me. Look what the fuck they did with "Willard". Now that was scary.
I will give them a go however.

Don't think I am gonna like the "Its Alive" remake from watching the trailer. The baby is all normal until it gets mad and mutates into the monster? I want a flat out MONSTER baby damn it. Just like the original.
