Quicksand
One of the better bands to emerge out of the early '90s and are comparable to Helmet and Fugazi. Unforutunately, they just didn't catch on. After one EP and two full albums, Quicksand broke up. They attempted a reunion and actually recorded some new tracks (available via torrent sites) but just couldn't get it together. But the music lives on via fan sites, YouTube and 170,872 plays on LastFM. It's hard for me to believe that I got the Slip album almost 15 years ago and still listen to it.
