Two men and four teenage girls were arrested last month and charged in connection with a deadly mob attack in Ocean View.
Police say the teens lured three men to the area of 16th Bay Street, where a crowd was waiting for them. The men were then stripped and brutally beaten. One of the men, 19-year-old, James Robertson died following the attack.
Raymond Ahmad, 29, and Melvin Arrington, 18, were charged with Murder, two counts of Malicious Assault, and three counts of Robbery. Police withheld the names of four teenage girls involved in the attack, but have recently released their names.
Iesha Rountree, Nichelle Carter, Shakida Bowers, and Skyler Hayward have each been charged with one count of Second Degree Murder, two counts of Malicious Wounding and three Robbery charges.
The four girls involved were certified by a Norfolk judge Tuesday. They will be tried as adults, but the sentence could be a juvenile sentence. A court date has been set for September 5th. The adult males involved in the case are scheduled to appear in court on September 25th. Investigators believe robbery was the motive.
