Students at Mt. Si High School decided to take part in A Day of Silence, a nationwide demonstration advocating tolerance and recognizing the mistreatment of homosexual students. Some are wearing armbands, others are wearing pretty shirts - all have vowed silence to recognize those too afraid to speak for themselves.

Well, Rev. Hutcherson of the Antioch Bible Church is not afraid to speak against those not speaking for those afraid to speak. In fact, he even went so far as to print an ad in the newspaper, rallying the anti-gay troops. What's mildly awesome? Another church, the Tolt United Church of Christ, advertised their support of the students in the same newspaper, in retaliation of the bigotry.

What could get someone so riled up about a silent demostration, you ask? I'll let the Rev. tell you: "We sent our kids there to get an education, not an indoctrination."

Oh, so, it's not the content, but the way the students are going about it? My apologies, Rev. I had you all wrong, it seems. But, I do have this to ask - What's indoctrinating about a silent demonstration? I mean, they're not saying anything. And, I can't imagine you're concerned about it disrupting class, seeing as how the students know they are required to answer questions asked in class. That, and...You're doing a fair amount of disrupting, yourself.
