I know there's another Big Mama thread somewhere, I just can't find it.
I LOVE this woman. She bends over backwards to help the children. She gets robbed about every Christmas and someone is always there to help her get back what was stolen.

Big Mama has received hundreds of Easter baskets to help in her quest to brighten Easter celebrations for thousands of needy children.

With just two days before the Easter celebrations, Essie "Big Mama" Reed received some much needed help from Channel 7 viewers donating hundreds of Easter baskets for the needy children.

A donor from the Broward County Association of Bail Bondsman donated hundreds of Easter baskets Friday morning. "We have probably 600 now. We are going to bring some more tomorrow, probably another 300 or 500. All of them are hand made. We bought the materials and had some kids help us out," said James Jones.

Jones knows that Easter, like Thanksgiving and Christmas, is a time for giving to the needy. "We are a group of bail bondsmen, association, just trying to give back to the community," said Jones.

Big Mama also received chicken and clothing among the baskets. "I want you all to continue to pray for each other and help each other," said Big Mama.

A young girl was overcome with joy when one of the dresses donated came in her size. "Thank you, Big Mama," she said.

Big Mama has been working to help the less fortunate for the last 20 years, and even when she needed the help, she has welcomed children in need to her home and found ways to care for them. "We can go around together and help our community, and our viewers, I love you all," said Big Mama.
