Most members here have gotten used to the fact that I am a bit disorganized. I install code without telling people sometimes, and remove some the same way. I add and remove features without explanation, and more often than not, I do it live. Well, I have come to the decision that this is probably not best practice and starting today, that will never change.
So. What I will attempt to do is maintain a monthly thread detailing what, if anything, we have planned regarding the forums, or either The Dreamin' Demon (http://www.dreamindemon.com) or The Screamin' Demon (http://www.thescreamindemon.com) and any other sites related to them. I'll try to keep it consistent. So with that, and the fact that we are at the end of the month...let's just consider this the State of the Site for April 2008.
The Dreamin' Demon (http://www.dreamindemon.com)
Not much to say at this point. She keeps on truckin' and aside fro some layout issues I am working on (I do have a bit of an OCD...not in a Monk type of way, but just enough as to getting really aggravated if things do not line up right *shrug*), there isn't really much for me to do at this point aside from keeping things updated and keeping an eye out for any new add-ons that I think may make the site easier to use.
The Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/godofwhore) is what it is. I will continue to crosspost the articles up front, and may even add a forum feed.
The Youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/dreamindemon) is still moving along. I having something planned for that as well, but I doubt it will get off the ground in March. We will see.
The Screamin' Demon (http://www.screamindemon.com)
Yeah. Tons of shit going on there. Add-ons to be added, layouts to be figured out and discussed. Currently I will continue to get all our reviews ported over into the new database, work on layouts and start trying to get traffic. It's gonna be a cool site. There are a few people involved with this site, so aside from the basic layout, some group discussions will take place before any major changes or specific directions are taken. I am not even sure who is on the staff.
The Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/screamindemon666) will be a tad different than The Dreamin' Demon's. There is a lot more that can be done, but it is not the top of my list at the moment aside from getting it up and running and whoring for friends.
The Youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/MorbidatSD) is up and I foresee us doing similar things as we do with the DD Channel. I have an idea in mind for that as well, but since there is more people involved with that site than just me, a lot of discussion needs to be done first.
The Forums
Not much here either. vBulletin will be at 3.7 very shortly, but we will hold off before upgrading. We have a bit of plugins and I need to make sure some of them will work with 3.7 before we upgrade. Other than that, the only thing I will be messing with is the header up above and kissing Google's ass and try to get them to let us use Adsense in here.
So that is it, really. If anyone gets a wild hair up their ass and wants to help right up a Newbie guide to the forum\site I will be more than happy to STICK it to the top of every forum. I keep meaning to get to it, but I just cannot find time. I figure you guys are smart enough, you'll figure it out...and besides, some of you figure out what some of these features out faster than I do.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this post, feel free to do so.
