DAYTONA BEACH, Fla
A woman whose remains were found inside a charred Daytona Beach home in 1990 has been identified, and police are seeking information in her stabbing death.
The body of Tamar Ann Floyd Scott was identified last month, nearly 20 years after her remains were found inside a house at 552 South St. Firefighters discovered her body after extinguishing a blaze at the home.
Scott, who was 32 years old when at the time of the incident, died of stabs wounds to the body and there was extensive fire damage to her body, according to officials. The manner of death was homicide.

A relative of Scott's was located in May 2009, and a DNA comparison led to the positive identification, Daytona Beach police said.
An investigation into Scott's death is ongoing.
