(April 15, 2008)--Six people were in custody Tuesday in connection with the slaying of a man whose bound body was found floating in Galveston Bay during the weekend.
Three of those in police custody were found Monday evening in the victim's car in the Houston area.
Authorities found the vehicle with the help of a tracking device.
The body of Gary Wayne Bell washed up Sunday against a bulkhead pier at the back of a construction site.
Police said the 39-year-old from nearby Santa Fe was found wearing only socks and that his wrists and ankles were bound.
He had been beaten and strangled and had drowned, according to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Kinda looks like Bell might have just been let out of jail in Beaumont, where he ticked some people off. A lot.
