A Franklin County man has been indicted and accused of enticing an 8-year-old girl to climb to his second-story window, where he reportedly hugged and kissed her inappropriately.
Court officials said John Wayne Vickery, 46, is charged with enticing a child into a vehicle or house for immoral purposes and interfering with child custody.

Authorities said Vickery persuaded the child to climb 11 feet up the back wall of the apartment building and into his second-story apartment.
The two charges are Class C felonies punishable by 1-10 years in prison, if convicted.
"Apparently, (Vickery) invited her to come up to the apartment, and he was going to show her something," Potter said at the time of the arrest.
"The child used the window from the lower apartment window, an electrical meter box and a phone cable to climb up on and pull herself to the apartment window," Potter said.
"Then Vickery reached out of his window and was able to help pull her into his apartment."
Reports indicate someone saw the child climb the wall and go into Vickery's window, prompting that person to yell out the child's name.
"After the incident, the child ran out the front door," Potter said.
Investigators said Vickery, who lives with a woman, was alone at the time.
