Not sure how this case got past me when it originally occurred but it was brought to my attention while watching the local news at work this morning.

Futrell is charged with drugging her 7 year old daughter and forcing her to drink a lethal amount of insecticide back in 2003.

Futrell is claiming that she mistakenly left the insecticide in a water bottle and that her daughter had drank it sometime during the night. The worst part about this case for me is not just that the woman killed her child in what I can only imagine was a torturous way, it's the fact that a pathologist actually agrees with the woman's testimony. He claims that the child had a cold at the time and wouldn't have known that she was drinking insecticide.

I call bullshit on this one. Looks to me that the woman clearly killed her child. I don't care if I did have a cold, I sure as hell would know if I was drinking insecticide.

There's an easy way to resolve this issue. Stand the woman out in the snow naked, until she gets a cold, then put her in a room with 50 water bottles. Fill 49 of them with insecticide, and the last one with water. Tell her she has to drink one of them, and see if she is able to pick the right one. If she manages to pick the one with water, we will know that both she and the pathologist are full of shit, and we can then put the bitch on death row where she belongs. If, however, she drinks one of the bottles of insecticide, oops! She got what she deserved anyway for leaving a deadly chemical in a water bottle for her unsuspecting daughter to drink. Fucking moron.

you know angel, if the courts are concerned about being overbooked, they should employ you to fast track the justice system. Not only would it be speedy, you could make tons of money off of the broadcast. That would solve so many problems. Let the suffering of the offenders pay to help the victims....brilliant, actually.

i am kinda familiar with this case. It is very heartbreaking.

First off, this bitch is not and never was the mother of this beautiful child. She was married to Kayla's uncle at one time. There was ongoing abuse of Kayla a long time before her death. Her grandma actually kidnapped her a few years before her death to try to get her away from the abuse. She was charged with it and eventually killed herself because she thought she failed Kayla. It is all very tragic and I hope the bitch pays big time. I will see if I can find you a link. There is a great website out there for Kayla.

Thanks a ton for the info Lynn. The case is a local one for me, only a county or two away but like I said I don't recall hearing about it when it originally happened.

The info about the grandmother is truly sad. She was trying to do something good for the child, take her away from the abuse and ends up getting screwed over for it. Isn't the judicial system grand?

I'm going to keep an eye on this trial. It has peaked my interest and I'm curious to see just how it all turns out.

I must be the biggest fucking idiot on the face of the earth, but one question that keeps popping into my mind is: If Carolyn did not love the child (which is obvious because of the abuse), why the FUCK would she want to retain custody in the first place? And what kind of fucked up situation says that the child of a deployed military member, when sent to live with her mother's brother, should be given to his ex-wife, who is no relation at all, when they divorce? This situation is nine hundred kinds of fucked up!

And let me revise my earlier suggestion on how to resolve the question of whether the child drank the poison thinking it was water. Fuck the one bottle of water in with the 49 of poison. Fill 'em all with poison, and make the aunt drink them until she is dead! She doesn't even deserve the chance to pick the 'right' bottle. Why should she be given a chance that was not offered to Kayla? Fuck her and the pathologist both! Make him drink some too, just because he is obviously too fucking stupid to live, let alone do an adequate job! God, this pisses me right the fuck off! I'd like to have a go at this bitch myself! Show her what an ass-whipping is all about! Fucking cunt!:mad::mad::mad:

Oh, and Carol, I would LOVE, LOVE,LOVE to have that job! Where the fuck do I go to apply? I have always secretly wanted a job in the justice system or broadcast journalism....this would fulfill both desires at the same time, wouldn't it? Why don't y'all get a group together and go lobby Congress to create a position like that for me. Make sure you tell them it won't cost them a dime. My services will be free. The satisfaction I would get from putting these fucktards in the grave would more than make up for lack of monetary compensation. :diablo:

Atroban is a Permethrin, Xylene, Ethylbenzene based pesticide and more noxious than gasoline. Toxicologist, Dr. Daniel Sudakin said the mist from mixing the granular pesticide with water, would burn the skin off a grown man's arm.

There is NO WAY this child drank a half a water bottle of this stuff on her own. NO WAY.

Rot you fucking skanky Cunt!

Less than two hours after an Onslow County jury found her guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the 2003 death of 7-year-old Kayla Allen, Carolyn Futrell walked out of jail a free woman Wednesday

It makes me absolutely sick that this woman is now free. Wonder what that jury seen that I haven't. :( RIP with grandma Kayla.
