COLUMBUS, Ind. -- A Columbus substitute teacher was arrested Monday after a 17-year-old high school student accused him of engaging in inappropriate behavior with her, Columbus police said.
Indianapolis police arrested Ryan D. Allen, 26, at Carrabba's Italian Grill in southern Marion County, where he was working Monday, police said.
Columbus police said an investigation started in mid-February when the teen approached a police detective who also is an educator at Columbus East High School. The teen told the detective that Allen had acted inappropriately toward her; details of the allegations weren't released.
