An Orlando police officer has been charged with false imprisonment and battery after a young mother told investigators he fondled her breast and squeezed milk from it outside a downtown Orlando nightclub.
Brandon Reed Loverde, 31, who was working an off-duty detail in uniform at Firestone Live, ordered Rachelle Cortez, now 21, to follow him into a parking lot at the rear of a nearby business and made her sit on the ground, she told authorities.
Loverde left with Cortez's cell phone and identification card and returned with a bottle of water for her and a blue latex glove on his right hand, according to a police report. He then squatted in front of her, reached inside her bra and squeezed her right breast until milk squirted into his glove, the report states. Her breasts were full because she is nursing her children, she told investigators.
"Officer Loverde told her he wanted to 'Suck on them,' '' the report says.

this man should know that barring the slim chance he gets lucky with a single woman that's pregnant or just had a baby, the respectable thing to do with such a fetish is to knock up a woman yourself, take good care of her, and THEN maybe you get your drink from the tap. anything else is just a bitch move.

So he order her to do this and she does? How did he threaten her?

Weird. There is such a fetish where some men get off on woman who are lactating. My experience hasn't been such but I know of a friend who's hubs was and have read on it too.
This reads kind of strange, like she was seeing this guy on the sly and then got freaked out as he did what he did? didn't seem so much like he made her leave with him unless I'm missing something here. She really should be at home pumping that milk and feeding those babies...."she is nursing her children..." how many she nursing?

It says she's now 21. Could be at the time she was trying to sneak in with a fake ID. Guys who can get you into a lot of trouble do tend to be persuasive if you think there's a chance of getting off the hook.
Especially if you don't have the sense of a goat and think going to a bar while nursing is a good idea

I'm not saying I agree with what this girl did, 'cause there is no way in hell I would have allowed that, but it says he was in uniform so thats probably why she followed him. I am leaning towards underage drinking or fake ID scenario. Either way this dude is a freak!

I don't agree what this guy did either just feel like we aren't getting all the info here. Even with someone in uniform doesn't mean all is OK to go with them. I'd be asking why? what the heck is going on?.....she's young and all but that even seems common sense I'd think. She reported it so something's a miss, sure like more info.

Not everyone feels as though they can stand up to an authority figure. Before I became a parent I was the shy/quiet type. I would have done pretty much anything someone in authority had told me to... whether I wanted to or not.
Once I had kids I had a complete change of character but I can still see how she could have ended up in this situation.

Agree obsolute, (outta thanks), guess how and where I was raised, I didn't see police as an automatic good guy. NO disrespect to police officers as their job is tough shit. I just pretty much questioned most things even as a young girl, but that's me and why I often got out of potential bad situations.

Wow. So much judgment in here.
First off, even if this chick was drinking, that's her right (unless she was, in fact, underage at the time), nursing or not. I've known plenty of mothers who would go to the bar on a rare occasion after giving birth. It's not rocket science to plan around such occassions. Suggesting that she should be home taking care of her kids is archaic pregnant-and-barefoot-in-the-kitchen bullshit. But this wasn't a bar, it was a nightclub, and it could have been all-ages for all we know. So long as she had a responsible sitter lined up, I don't see how she did anything wrong.
And, why would she follow him? He's a COP. Even if he wasn't wearing that uniform in particular, cops know how to leverage their authority to gain compliance. It's common practice for an officer to try to remove their person of interest from the group prior to explaining anything.

I have never and will never lactate, but this creeps me THE FUCK OUT. Something about the glove makes it worse somehow.
this is going badly
January 11th, 2010, 10:40 PM
Wow everyone, you all really need to lighten up on the victim. I wish it where otherwise but at age 20 I was not very self confident and would probably have not been able to prevent this.
More from the story:A bouncer ejected Cortez from Firestone Live the night in question after warning her about dancing over a yellow line in front of the stage, the report says. However, Cortez said she didn't know why she was removed from the club. Firestone Live owner Jan Harrold said Cortez got into a disagreement with other patrons. He also said she was not drinking and was not given a trespass warning.
Once outside, Loverde told Cortez to come with him, she said in a sworn statement.
First of all, don't assume she has an infant, many woman nurse for a year (or more). Some women even have a second pregnancy and continue to nurse the first child along with the new infant.
Second, everyone has the right to go out once in a while, even a nursing mother. BTW, no alcohol passes through breast milk if the mom drinks one or two drinks slowly. And the mom can also pump and dump a batch if she wants to be extra careful.
Third, and this may be sort of gross, but nursing women often have a "scent", especially when they need to nurse which it sounds like this woman did and was maybe why she was leaving the bar/club.
Last, if this guy is turned on by lactation he just might be extra aware of nursing women and simply noticed she was wearing a nursing bra or had pads in her bra.
Even if he already knows this woman it does not mean she wanted him to fondle her. I can't imagine continuing to nurse her baby(s) after this would be easy for her and I hope that the court and the PD he works in take this assault very seriously.

why do i feel it was something like...'hey baby, lets go outside, i want to do something special with those tits of yours, follow me'....."ok mister officer, oh your putting the gloves on, how kinky"...'i just want to touch one'.."oh mister..uh..um...what the Fuck are you doing?"
really, thats all i got.
cops normally don't just glove up and start milking....at least i don't think?

Wow people are being awfully harsh regarding this victim. Not one of you went out for a night on the town while your child was an infant? I nursed my daughter for a year and on occasion I went out with my hubby and friends and I drank. I drank enough to get a really good buzz. I planned when I knew these night outings were coming up and I pumped milk for several days leading up to my night out and saved it for my baby to have while I had alcohol in my system. Then I pumped my "contaminated" milk and chunked it for the next 24 hours. Is there something wrong with that? Taking time for yourself is a great stress reliever and can help head off abusive situations. As for how this police officer knew she was a breast feeding mom? It could have went something like this.....
Officer: "Miss I need to talk to you!"
Victim: "Officer, I really need to get home, I am a nursing mother and my baby needs to nurse now, please let me go" (perhaps she offered up the info because she was afraid of being arrested or detained)
Officer: "Come with me!"

Please, it's not so much about the woman having her night out, as all of us mama's have had our nights out to keep our sanity. It's more on how it played out. This "officer" is obviously a freak. I just was rather surprised on her behavior didn't say it was wrong just odd....strange, for me at least. At some point as he lead her behind the dark building and had her sit on the grown and WAIT. Comes back hands her water, as she's still sittn there and begins to fondle her as to get her milk going...then what? did she say, what the fuck, get your paws off me? I would have broke this 2 bit assholes balls off, cop or not.
It'd simply never go that far with me, just ask the border officer who tried taking me to a small room away from the group he was questioning. Me and some friends went over the border to party, common thing to do living in a border town. It's dangers shit tho, never thought twice about it at the time. I was all of 16 then. I Never blame the victim, not once and I have no doubt she felt intimidated by the officer and felt inclined to go with him, that takes no imagination to understand. Just glad this wasn't something far worse than it turned out to be.

It's common for the police to have someone that they're planning on arresting sit on the ground. She probably felt that she had to.
And she was sexually assaulted. Period...we should be raking the perp over the coals, not the victim.
He's a freak and a waste of oxygen. I hope that he loses his police position as well as the private duty. AND I hope that he does time behind bars.

Mom: Cop Squeezed Breast Milk From Me
Discovery Documents Released In Case Against OPD Officer
Included in the discovery release was taped of interviews with Rachelle Cortez, the woman who made the claims against officer Brandon Loverde.
"Then he handed me my water and he kneeled down and he started touching my boobs and talking about how nice they were," Cortez said.
The alleged incident occurred outside Firestone nightclub after a concert in December.
"He told me not to move where I was at, where he put me, so I just stood where I was at. I didn’t move, not one bit," Cortez said.
Cortez, who turned 21 years old since the incident, told an Orlando sex crimes investigator that Loverde held her against her will and touched her without permission.

Geez, there are plenty of women who are into nursing their partners. Assaulting a woman while he was in a position of authority just wasn't necessary.

I've been nursing for going on 14 years (haven't had a break in between six babies). There's been a few occasions I've gone out to a bar...I've also had the (shockhorror) audacity to have a drink (pump n dump is my motto) at home once or twice. Why, I have even shamelessly worn shoes in the kitchen while unchaining myself from the sink! Didn't know I was being such a terrible mother. :wink2:
