Acting on a child abuse tip, Shasta County deputies approached a home on Friday afternoon. They were told by the guy answering the door that there were no children in the home and refused to let them in. Luckily for one 7-year-old boy, the deputies didn't take "no" for an answer. In a bedroom of the double-wide trailer, they discovered the severely injured boy. He had numerous serious and life-threatening injuries including multiple bone fractures, burns, internal injuries, bruises, disfigurement. The boy appeared to have been choked, was malnourished and terrified. It's estimated that the untreated injuries occurred a week to 10 days before.

When interviewed by authorities, the boy's caregiver, 27-year-old Rachel Ann Limon, admitted to physically assaulting the boy on numerous occasions. Her brother, Gregory Matthew Limon, 22, admitted that he knew about some of the alleged abuse. Gregory Limon was arrested on suspicion of willful harm or injury to a child and obstructing an officer. Rachel Limon was arrested on suspicion of torture, willful harm to a child and aggravated mayhem. On Saturday, she received the added charge of attempted murder.

The boy, who's only been identified as "Junior", appears to be Rachel Limon's stepson. Where his biological parents are is not specified. The family of the bio-mom has been trying to gain custody of him but had not been able to locate him. Junior's current condition has not been released. Rachel Limon also had three other children that have been found to be safe, in good health and placed in protective custody.

I'm so glad someone reported the abuse. As for Rachel and Greg, I suggest taking that goddamned murse and shove it down their fucking throats. Then, let's starve the bastards and disfigure them for weeks. Then, let's find out where the parent is that left the poor child with these people.

Family members were anxious to determine Junior’s condition Saturday, but were unable to get it from the Sacramento hospital. The family believes the boy is in protective custody.

“My nephew is on his deathbed,” said Forest Radford of Redding, who believes the boy will survive. Junior is the son of Radford’s sister, who doesn’t have custody of her son.

“We didn’t know any of this was going on,” he said, referring to the alleged abuse.

Radford, a firefighter for a private contractor, didn’t want to give details yet about the situation, but said Junior’s biological father is an illegal immigrant.

Dottie Smith, a freelance, historical writer for the Record Searchlight and a blogger for Redding.com, contacted her friend, Becca Howsmon of Becca’s Cafe on Balls Ferry Road in Anderson, to raise funds on Junior’s behalf.

Smith read about Junior’s injuries and wanted to help. “I feel so sorry for that little boy,” Smith said.

Howsmon is setting up an account for the Christmas Boy at North Valley Bank where people can make donations starting Monday.

“Dottie touched my heart by trying to give him a Christmas. God bless her,” Radford said. “That touched my whole family,” he said.

On Saturday night, the Sheriff's Office said it had conducted a statewide search for Rachel Limon's other three children. The children were found to be safe, in good health and were placed in protective custody, Cobb said.

Let's all do what we can to restore this little boys faith in humanity! I'll post the info as to the donations, as soon as it is online!!

Heal Junior, be restored completely!

I think the bological family is lying about trying to find him/get him back as the boys uncle stated in the article. He said:

Radford, a firefighter for a private contractor, didn’t want to give details yet about the situation, but said Junior’s biological father is an illegal immigrant.

Radford, his wife, Kate, and his family have tried to gain guardianship of Junior in the past, but they didn’t know Rachel Limon’s recent whereabouts.

“Half of my family has tried to get Junior back,” he said.

And I'm 99% sure this is his wife who commented on the article:

Firewife writes:
Please pray for this little boy. For everyone who is speculating, this boy was in the care of a guardian, not his mother. And his family thought he was safe. I am saying this as a member of his family! I love my nephew and if I even thought for a second that something was wrong would have taken him in to my home. Please just pray for his speedy recovery!

Then says:

Everybody keeps making assumptions. Mister limon is her brother not her husband. Her husband is the boys father! That is why she is the named the caregiver. Everyone on here making assumptions as to why the family didn't have him is saddly mistaken! We his family tried to get custody of him when abuse was suspected, even took it to the family investigator who handles all gaurdianships. We were told there was nothing we could do! Even after she (Rachel) told us she wouldn't contest us getting gaurdianship. Stop assuming and start praying!

She totally contradicts herself.

Yeah, the family does contradict theirselves. I just thank God that the police did the right thing and found this little angel.
I wonder who called and reported the child abuse? Maybe the mother? or her family? A neighbor? Whoever did it is a real guardian angel.

This poor boy seems to have a big mess of life. No one knows who he should be with, and no one has stepped up to take custody in the right way. I'm not sure what to think of the family statements, but I have a feeling that if someone truly wanted to hunt him down, police would have been involved before now, and someone would have had some info. I mean, if there was a child who I wanted custody of, and if I had no idea where they were, I'd be filing a missing persons report.

I can understand when a bio parent takes off with the kid, as in the situation with Riley Sawyers and her grandmother searching for her--the cops wouldn't help out since technically the child was with her mother and no rights had been terminated. But in this case, it seems no one had official custody of the little guy, and the mother and father sure as hell didn't have him. So where the hell was the common sense in the supposed search for the child? Did they just look up his name in the phone book and upon not finding it, give him up for lost?

Javier Ibarra Lopez, 29 (Father of Junior)

But he was not arrested on charges connected with the alleged assault.

Javier Ibarra Lopez, 29, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of allegedly failing to appear in Superior Court on assault and other charges unrelated to the child's beating, as well as for allegedly being in the country illegally.

A $75,000 bench warrant was issued for him in April 2007, according to electronic Superior Court records

Lopez remains in custody in Shasta County jail without bail, but it could not be learned Sunday if he might be a suspect in the beating case or if any additional charges may be filed against him.

Meanwhile, two Shasta County residents have started a donation account at North Valley Bank for Junior, called "Christmas Boy" on the bank account.
Dottie Smith, a freelance, historical writer for the Record Searchlight and a blogger for Redding.com, and Becca Howsmon of Becca's Cafe on Balls Ferry Road in Anderson, established the fund to raise funds on Junior's behalf.

As of mid-afternoon Sunday, about $200 had been donated at the cafe, said Howsmon, noting that people wanting to make donations at any North Valley Bank branch may do so starting today

Demented fucks:
A Cottonwood woman accused of nearly beating to death her boyfriend's 7-year-old son told Shasta County sheriff's detectives that she was seeking revenge against the child's biological mother.

A sheriff's investigative report, which was made public Tuesday, describes the horrific injuries Rachel Limon allegedly inflicted upon the boy, known as Junior, including possibly burning his nipples and breaking six ribs. The child also suffered a collapsed lung, the sheriff's report said.

Furthermore, it reveals that Limon, 27, admitted to detectives to causing at least some of those injuries.

"Rachel admitted to punching the victim over the course of approximately a week for various reasons," the sheriff's report says. "The main reason for the abuse was out of revenge due to problems between Rachel and (Melissa) Radford."

Radford, 27, is the boy's biological mother. She was arrested Saturday in Sacramento on two Redding Police Department warrants unrelated to the alleged beating.

The sheriff's report said that Limon, too, has a child with the boy's biological father, Javier Ibarra Lopez, 29, which is a source of tension.

But Limon denied ever having burned the child, although she did admit to digging her fingers into his chest, punching him, tossing him out the back door onto the deck with a 1-foot drop-off and grabbing him on his face and neck.

"Rachel admitted she knew what she did was wrong" and kept him out of school due to his visible injuries, the report said. She also said that she failed to seek medical help for him, it added.

It's believed the boy would have died within 24 hours without medical treatment, the report said.

According to the sheriff's report, the boy was found Friday inside Limon's Rhonda Road residence on a pullout mattress without sheets or blankets and with only about 12 inches exposed on which to sleep.

The boy, who was in severe pain and could barely move, had numerous abrasions and bruises on his face, torso and legs and had difficulty breathing, the report said.

It also said that he suffered extensive bruising to his genitals and pelvic area.

When asked who had hurt him, the boy said, "I did it to myself," the sheriff's report said.
[...]

"He's not completely out of the woods yet, but I understand that he is expected to recover," Hanna said.

He also confirmed that the boy's mother was arrested Saturday in Sacramento after she apparently tried to visit her son at the hospital.

Those warrants charge her with violating probation and failing to appear in Shasta County Superior Court, according to inmate information provided by a Sacramento County Jail Web site.

Electronic Superior Court records show that bench warrants had been issued for Radford after she repeatedly failed to appear in court on drug and other charges.

Yuck. The bitch is 3 years younger than me, and makes me look like a newborn.

Thanks for updating this story. I hate this bitch. I have no idea how monsters like this can exist without being locked up by now. I mean, the mindset to actually not only consider beating a child in jealousy of their parent, but to actually carry it out over a long period of torture--that mind can NOT have appeared normal throughout the monster's life. I always wonder what has happened BEFORE news worthy stories are found out. I'm sure that this bitch has done evil things before and has gotten away with it. You don't wake up one day and graduate to being less than human immediately or suddenly.

KHSL Action News did an investigation on how Limon became guardian of her boyfriend's 7 year old son J.D.

[...]
When we looked at her criminal file, we discovered this wasn't her first legal trouble involving children.

In November, 2004 Limon and her mother were arrested and charged with felony child endangerment, possession of methamphetamine for sale, and maintaining a place for use of methamphetamine. Drug agents had raided the same Cottonwood address that Limon then shared with her mother and her two toddlers. We wondered how did Limon get temporary guardianship of J.D. 13 months later, when the drug case was still open?

Shasta County District Attorney Jerry Benito said "it certainly would be disappointing to me if we think somebody had done something that put a child in danger, I would hope the court and the guardianship process would take note of that fact."

Benito says Limon was not the ringleader in the drug and child endangerment case, but her mother was. Rachel was not prosecuted, but only on the condition that she stay out of trouble for a year. Prosecutors say Donda Limon pleaded guilty to drug possession. Despite those earlier child endangerment and drug charges, Judge Cara Beatty granted Limon guardianship of J.D. in 2008.

We asked Court Executive Melissa Fowler-Bradley if such drug and child endangerment charges would preclude someone from being appointed as a guardian. "It would not preclude someone, it would definitely merit further investigation, it would depend if a conviction was entered or not. Sometimes the court is placed in a position where they don't have an ideal person to choose. Proposed guardians in these cases are not Kelli Saams." (the news anchor/reporter of this story)
[...]

Limon's guardianship was renewed by Judge Daniel Flynn just two months before J.D. was found beaten. The court executive insists the court investigator and judges do a thorough job. But she admits they could use another investigator to research potential guardians.

Fowler Bradley said "sometimes it's an individual that may meet requirements and the investigation is sufficient to appoint them as guardian, but sometimes it's not a perfect world. "

Court records reveal J.D. was shuffled from home to home bouncing between his mother, who court records show was battling an alleged drug problem, and his father, an illegal immigrant who faced several felony charges. He spent other periods of time with a grandmother and two guardians.

In a 2007 letter to the court, Rachel Limon wrote "I is taking the exam to be in real estate think J.D. would have a better future with me" And in 2008 she wrote "I am and always will be the stability and love that J.D. needs."

District Attorney Jerry Benito says "if anything positive comes out of this case relating to guardianship, I think it would be that we take a closer look at that process and make sure children are being protected."

DOUBT IT. I was just locked up with this creep for about 14 hours for an old traffic ticket that turned into a warrant, yes because I forgot about it for 2 years. She looked fine, the guards talked to her about whatever and acted like all friendly with her, she was looked up to by the other 3 women in the cell, like she would give them advice, help them fix up their beds, even tried to get me to accept her asking her mother for my bail, and gave me her name and address when I was released... so I'm really confused, why is she being treated kindly by these guards and the other women in her cell... why is she in a cell where they put lesser violators? Child Abuse Defendant Arrested for Stabbing
A Shasta County Man out on bail in connection with a child abuse case, was arrested on a new charge in court Thursday morning.

It was anybody's guess if Gregory Limon was even going to show up for a Thursday morning hearing.

He stood before a judge on Monday, just hours after allegedly stabbing a man. But, he wasn’t arrested for the crime at that time.

Gregory Limon, 22, is accused of stabbing Raul Lopez, 32, in the abdomen early Monday morning.

Deputies say the victim hasn't been cooperating and initially told them his name was Gregory Alfonso Flores.

He's also in the Shasta County Jail. Lopez is being held on various firearms charges and is under an INS hold. According to dispatch reports, Lopez pulled a .22 pistol on Limon.

The crime reportedly happened at the same house on Rhonda Road where officers rescued a brutally beaten seven-year-old in December.

Gregory's sister, Rachel Limon was dating the boy's biological father and was his legal guardian. She told investigators she repeatedly hurt the child to get back at his biological mother.

She has been charged with attempted murder, torture and child abuse. Her brother was charged with child abuse and obstructing an officer.

Judge Rejects Motion to Suppress Evidence in Child Abuse Case

Shasta County woman will go to trial for the attempted murder of a seven-year-old boy.

A Shasta County Superior Court Judge denied motion to suppress evidence and dismiss the case against Rachel Limon.

The lawyer argued the search of her Rhonda Road home was illegal because it was based on an anonymous tip and done without sufficient probable cause.

But the judge disagreed after hearing from the sheriff deputies who found the boy battered and bruised inside her home last December.

Two social workers also testified Friday. Deputies were responding to a tip called into Child Protective Services.

In his ruling, the judge noted the initial report was made by a confidential informant, not an anonymous person.

He also said, given the situation, deputies had more than enough cause to enter the home without a warrant.

The boy suffered life-threatening injuries including multiple fractures, burns and severe internal injuries.

28-year-old Limon was dating the boy's father and had legal custody of the child.

According to an investigative report she admitted to beating the boy out of revenge, because she was angry with his biological mother. Rachel Limon is charged with attempted murder, torture and child abuse.

Deputies say her brother, Gregory Limon, initially tried to keep them out of the house and denied the child was there.

He's charged with child abuse, being an accessory and obstructing an officer.

The seven-year-old spent several weeks in the hospital before being released into foster care.

Child abuse defendant faces new charges in stabbing
Nov 15 2010

A Cottonwood area man who is a co-defendant in a highly-publicized child beating case is being charged with attempted murder in connection with the Sept. 20 stabbing of a 33-year-old man.
Gregory Matthew Limon, 23, is accused of stabbing Raul Lopez, who initially identified himself to sheriff’s deputies as Gregory Alfonso Flores.

Lopez was reportedly stabbed in the abdomen at the same Rhonda Road home where authorities on Dec. 11 found 7-year-old Cottonwood boy so badly beaten and abused that deputies say he would have died within a day had he not been rescued.

Attempted Murder Charge Dismissed In Stabbing Incident

http://i0.simplest-image-hosting.net/168bf183b2abe8bc9188aacc163dd507/-dd-11013.jpg
Gregory Limon no longer faces attempted murder charges after a court appearance Friday morning in Redding.

Limon was accused of stabbing a man in Anderson after a fight broke out in September of 2010. The victim, Raul Lopez, originally told authorities Limon stabbed him without provocation outside a home on Rhonda road. KRCR News Channel 7 learned that the fight was caused by an argument about a separate case involving Limon; sister Rachel Limon's alleged brutal abuse of a small boy in December of 2009.

Further investigation determined that Lopez lied to police several times, including giving a false name when initially contacted by authorities.

The charges were dismissed today after the judge deemed Lopez' testimony not credible and cited insufficient evidence to continue with the case.

Lopez is the biological uncle of the seven year old abuse victim involved in Limon's other criminal case. Officers say Lopez pulled a gun during the incident and that he lied in his initial statement to authorities. The judge ruled there wasn't sufficient evidence to decide who initiated the September incident and dismissed the case.http://www.khsltv.com/content/localnews/story/Attempted-Murder-Charges-Dismissed-Against/Zdoul8yJp02GoOM6vh_zWg.cspx

He still faces the charges related to the child abuse case.

What a relief. I thought they were letting him off the charges from the child abuse. I still wish Lopez had stabbed him.

A judge Wednesday determined for the second time that a Cottonwood-area woman accused of beating a 7-year-old boy to near death in December 2009 is fit to stand trial.

After reviewing a report filed by two court-appointed doctors, Shasta County Superior Court Judge Dan Flynn said the jury trial for Rachel Limon, 28, will start on Aug. 23.

. . .

Her brother, Gregory Matthew Limon, 23, also is accused of child abuse, being an accessory and obstruction of justice in the case and will be tried with his sister. He is free on $50,000 bail.

. . .

Acting on an anonymous tip on Dec. 11, 2009, sheriff's deputies found the beaten 7-year-old at a Rhonda Road mobile home near Cottonwood.

Investigators say the boy — who had 10 broken ribs, a lacerated spleen and liver, two broken vertebra, and a collapsed lung – and would have died within a day had he not been treated by a doctor.

After a two-week stay at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, the boy was released into foster care on Dec. 24. Since the boy entered foster care there has been no way to check on his recovery.

. . .

Rachel Limon faces several life sentences if convicted and Gregory Limon faces nearly seven years in prison if convicted, Ben Hanna, the Shasta County deputy district attorney prosecuting the case has said. . . .http://www.redding.com/news/2011/mar/23/judge-woman-accused-in-boys-beating-fit-for/

Just kill these two already. I wish we could find out how the boy is doing. I want to hear he's all right and in a good home.

The trial for a Cottonwood-area woman accused of attempted murder for allegedly beating a 7-year-old boy near to death in December 2009 was temporarily derailed today when she pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

Rachel Ann Limon, 29, who also pleaded not guilty to the charges and was scheduled to begin standing trial today, entered her surprise insanity plea this morning, effectively forcing Shasta County Superior Court Judge William Gallagher to delay her criminal trial so two court-appointed psychologists could evaluate her sanity.

The evaluations are due to be submitted for review on Sept. 26.

The trial delay, however, allows Limon to again be tried along with her brother, Gregory Matthew Limon, 23, who’s charged with child abuse and other related counts in connection with the same case as his sister. He is due to begin standing trial on Oct. 18.

REDDING, Calif. -- Gregory Limon, the first of two suspects to go to trial, has been convicted on all counts in the child abuse case.

It took a Shasta County jury less than a day of deliberating to decide the Northstate man was guilty of all charges: child abuse, delaying an officer, and being an accessory after the fact. . . .

On a videotaped interrogation played for the jury in court, Limon told investigators he had no idea about the boy's injuries, which included 13 broken ribs and multiple fractures to his arms and spine. He also said he only noticed a couple scratches on the boy's face.

In the video, Limon did admit that he saw his sister, Rachel, hit the boy in the head and knock him to the ground.

Prosecutors say Limon knew the boy was in danger, and tried to prevent a Deputy from entering the home in 2009. . . .

Death can't come swift enough for those skanks. I've had my nose broken, and it took four bitches, but I had enough ass to fight them off. Don't think they ever expected that. Had a finger broken during horseplay once. It takes a lot of strength and or trauma to break shit. I've hoisted couches up to balconies and waited for my friend to run upstairs to grab it and pull it over...... and have never broken other people's bones in physical confrontations, and I'm a strong mother fucker. I can't get over these spinal fractures in children from these abusive fucks.

Would be nice if we could put abusers and people who pit animals against each other, in a large pit with each other and large pissed off animals sporting armor and see comes out on top.

Limon gets six years for child abuse

Before handing out a six-year prison sentence Tuesday to a Cottonwood area man convicted of child abuse, a Shasta County Superior Court judge listed off a horrific litany of injuries the 7-year-old boy suffered while the boy's "uncle" lived at his home.

Judge Cara Beatty described how when sheriff's deputies found the malnourished and dying boy in December 2009 at his Rhonda Road home, he'd swallowed a broken tooth, and one of the boy's ears was badly deformed from being constantly twisted. His ribs were broken, and doctors found evidence they'd also been broken before but healed, Beatty said.

The boy's genitals also were scarred, Beatty said. Investigators said when Shasta County sheriff's deputies found him, the injured boy had 10 broken ribs, a lacerated spleen and liver, burns on his chest, two broken vertebra and a collapsed lung. They say he would have died within a day had he not been treated by a doctor.

"It was like there was no part of his body where there was no injury," Beatty said. " I don't believe Mr. Limon is an evil man but what he did by not helping this child is evil."

Gregory Limon was convicted in November of child abuse and being an accessory to abuse, both felonies. He also was convicted of a misdemeanor count of trying to prevent deputies from entering the mobile home near Cottonwood where they found the boy in a back bedroom.

Beatty sentenced Limon, 24, to a six-year term, plus a three-year sentence that will be served concurrently. A probation department sentencing memorandum had suggested Beatty impose a four-year sentence.

Limon also will have to pay nearly $12,000 in restitution to cover the costs of the boy's medical care and his ongoing therapy.

Limon's public defender, Cedar Vaughan, said after the hearing she planned to appeal. She'd asked for probation, saying aside from a previous drunken-driving conviction, Limon didn't have a criminal record and there was no danger to the boy if Gregory Limon was released. She also said the abuse case revolved primarily around Limon's sister, Rachel Limon, the boy's legal guardian.

Investigators say Rachel Limon has admitted to having caused some of the boy's injuries as a way to get revenge against the boy's biological mother.

Rachel Limon has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Her trial is scheduled to begin next week.

If convicted, she faces life in prison.

During the sentencing hearing, Vaughan called Gregory Limon's mother, his girlfriend, his girlfriend's sister and his former boss as witnesses. All testified he was a good man and a hard worker who loved his children.

"He'd help out anybody," said Gregory Limon's mother, Donda Corona, while her voice cracked with emotion. "That's how he's always been."

Throughout their testimony, Gregory Limon dabbed his eyes and nose with clumps of tissue paper. When he was sentenced, he looked down at his shackled hands with tears in his eyes.

Beatty said what Limon's supporters described was the opposite of what she heard at trial. She said it was appalling Limon and his sister had completely covered the boy with clothing when deputies arrived at the home to hide his injuries. Beatty said Limon also tried to keep the deputies out of the home so they couldn't see how badly his sister had hurt the boy.

Beatty said the boy trusted and loved Gregory Limon who was so involved in the boy's life he referred to him as his uncle.

Beatty said the boy tried to tell detectives he'd hurt himself to protect those who hurt him, a classic sign he'd been coached by his abusers to cover up their abuse.

She said she also doubted Gregory Limon had limited knowledge of the abuse.

She said prior to deputies arriving at the home, Gregory Limon also had given the boy a nutritional supplement drink and some medication to try to treat his injuries, rather than actually reporting the abuse or trying to get him medical help.

Throughout his trial, Gregory Limon maintained he didn't really live at the home, but had only come to help the child at his sister's request.

Beatty said that's not what a simple search of court records found. She said that for months while the abuse was taking place, Gregory Limon had listed the Rhonda Road house as his home address in court documents related to his DUI case.

She said she also was struck by the lack of emotion Gregory Limon showed at his trial, even as witnesses were describing the horrors the boy suffered.

"The only time I observed him cry was when he was remanded into custody," Beatty said.

Thought I would bump this up to let everyone know this evil #@! will be on trial today.
I do have to say this..knowing the state of California's mental hospitals,it'd almost be worth it to find her not guilty by reason of insanity. Not only would it mean she'd likely be locked up longer but as in most places, the mental hospitals will make the prisons look like vacation spots.

Not guilty of attempted murder; convicted on other charges

A Shasta County jury says Rachel Limon beat and tortured a 7-year-old boy in 2009.

The jury of 7-men and 5-women took less than two-and-a-half hours to reach their verdict.

But of the four counts against the Cottonwood woman, the jury only convicted her three; torture, aggravated mayhem, and child abuse.
[...]

The prosecutor in the case, Senior Deputy District Attorney Ben Hanna, believes that Limon should have been convicted of attempted murder for these crimes.

“Yeah we are disappointed about that, but you know, like i said, the jury paid close attention in the case and made an appropriate call on the other crimes and she is still looking at a substantial time in jail,” said Hanna.

The torture and aggravated mayhem counts both carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. The child abuse count carries an additional 9 years. Sentencing in the case is set for May 29th.

Rachel Limon sentenced to two life terms plus 9 years

A Cottonwood woman guilty of three charges connected to beating a 7-year-old boy nearly to death in late 2009 was sentenced today in Shasta County Superior Court to two life terms plus nine years in prison.

Rachel Limon, 30, won’t be eligible for parole until 2031 on the sentences for torture, aggravated mayhem and child abuse with a special allegation of great bodily injury.
[...]

Prosecutors have said Limon, who was the boy's legal guardian and the girlfriend of the child's father, injured him in a "sick and twisted" desire to seek revenge against the boy's biological mother, focusing her rage on the helpless child.

The injured 7-year-old was discovered near death in December 2009 when Shasta County sheriff's deputies and a social worker went to Limon's Rhonda Road home on a tip to check on his welfare.

During the trial Limon admitted under oath that she lied to detectives about her role in the boy's life-threatening injuries because she feared her own three children would be taken away from her.

Investigators have said the boy — who had 13 broken ribs, a lacerated spleen and liver, two broken vertebrae and a collapsed lung — would have died within a day had he not been treated by a doctor.

The boy, who was not called to testify at Limon's trial, is in the process of being adopted and has returned to school.

As they should. The example you set for them is egregious and even if you loved them and took great care of them, they had to know that their mom is a monster and to wonder if that meant they were too.

So, two life terms with 9 years equals about 20 years until she can be considered for parole? I think it should be mean much, much more. 50 years would be my wish.
