North Moreland (where's that?)
Disturbance ends in dog bites and shots fired

Metro Police officers say chaos reigned at 2257 Moreland Avenue as they responded to a report of shots fired on the westside shortly after six o'clock Sunday morning.
"Nobody knows for sure what the situation is there, as a party was going on," said Sgt. Roger LaFav. "They believe that maybe somebody did something at the residence there. There was a disagreement, a fight ensued and shots were fired."
Police sorted out an argument that may have erupted over underage women drinking at the home and instructed to leave. Two women suffered dog bites. One dog was shot. A window was broken, and three people were arrested.
Resident Brian Peerson was arrested after the women said he let the dogs attack them. His roommate Joseph Payne was taken into custody but later released after police determined he was actually a victim
"The officers, once they did enter the residence, they did find blood on the walls of the residence but at this time we have no clue as to what that's from," said LaFav.
Police also seized nearly a half-pound of marijuana from the house.

I'm confused. First of all, I thought white boxers were usually culled by breeders. Sounds like these people chose them specifically for the white though! Beyond that, did the guy sic the dog on someone or did the dogs react to fighting in the home?
I know my dogs won't tolerate any aggression in the home. They've gotten used to people getting excited and yelling about sports etc, but for instance, once I was resting with my arms up on the back of the couch when a friend came in and started slapping my arms playfully. Several dogs barked, but my youngest lunged onto the back of the couch and stared him down. It wasn't a real fight obviously, but I believe if there were one that the dogs would try to end it.
