Christian Holder, 19, was found guilty of first degree murder yesterday for his role in the November 2008 ambush and shooting of 29 year old Papa John's deliveryman Jeremy Moore.

Moore had taken the delivery job as secondary income to support his newborn daughter.

Two others, 18 year old Zonta West and 22 year old Larry Stelly are currently awaiting their day in court for their part in the crime. A fourth defendant, 17 year old Rondell Griffin, has apparently already cut a deal with prosecutors and been cooperating with authorities in the case. It has been said that the four planned the ambush because they "wanted some money". After shooting Moore, the four fuckers got away with $42.91 worth of pizza, chicken wings and soft drinks.

It was unclear if they got any money.

West and Griffin are accused of planning the robbery. West fired the fatal shot after Stelly gave him the gun, Griffin testified at the trial.

Holder, then a student at Western Heights High School, went along with the plan after being told about it, prosecutors alleged.

Holder tried to open a door to a breezeway where the four intended to rob Moore but the door was locked, according to testimony. He then made small talk with the victim, distracting him until the robbery could take place. Afterward, he grabbed the pizzas and chicken wings and they fled to his apartment in another complex.

Friends testified he admitted his involvement in the robbery, using the slang phrase, "We hit a lick.”

Griffin testified West flashed the gun, demanding money, and then shot the driver when the victim didn’t answer him. Moore screamed. Griffin said they later asked West why he shot the pizza delivery driver. "He said, ‘I don’t know. I don’t know,’” Griffin recalled.

Holder at first told police he wasn’t there, but then, in a second interview, he said he saw the robbery but did not know of his friends’ plan. "It was just crazy,” he told police in a recording played for jurors. "I didn’t know they were going to rob the pizza man. I didn’t know nothing about it.”

This is so sad. I think our society is very severely corrupted at many levels. To bad all parents couldn't discipline like they did to our great grandparents.... many a bar of soap was used. Taking a kid out to the woodshed and hands on parenting. Manner teaching and respect.

And teachers had the ability to expect politeness in school or a trip to the Principal's office meant a paddling and having your parents called... and the kid wondered which one would be worse...... People as a majority had dignity and respect for each other includig themselves.

People were not proud to be single parents in those days. They didn't expect welfare because they had a child to raise. It was difficult to get aid in those days. With society's mores today... welfare is a fact of life... more kids more money..

We are in serious problem condition......America is self-destructing!

This man had a brand new baby and was delivering pizza to help support his family. This hits really close to home for me because I delivered pizza for 10 years. I was robbed three times in those 10 years. I quit after the last robbery when the animal pointed a gun at my head and kept making sexual comments about things he'd like to do to me before he finally fled. Some things just aren't worth the risk.

Jeremy Moore, would've turned 30 on October 15th...

Posted Nov. 10, 2008
Gary Hargrave was still trying to come to terms with the loss of Moore, a man he considered as one of his best friends.

"Jeremy was the type of friend that was there any time you need him," Hargrave said. "He couldn't stand for anyone to need anything. If someone had a flat tire alongside the road, he would have to stop and help."

Gary said he delivered pizza as a second job to make money to support his new baby, Lilly. On Friday, Hargrave said the child sensed her father wasn't coming back.
"Lilly could tell when Jeremy wasn't there. At the time he would have normally come to take care of her, she had cried," Hargrave said. "Jeremy was a very special person and very dear to the hearts of many to people I know I feel compelled to ask people to help the family."

So sad, here was a man working two jobs to care for his family and he is killed by thugs, that I am sure wouldn't bother working two jobs, or ONE for that matter. Sickens me!!
May they reap the seeds they have sown 70 X 7......

Posting before Pete notes the criminal is, in fact, black. :lol2:

I thought "After shooting Moore, the four fuckers got away with $42.91 worth of pizza, chicken wings and soft drinks." was part of the article...I was like whaaaaaaaaat?! Did they really say that? Well played UT, well played. It's a tragic loss knowing he had a small child and worked two jobs. Makes you wonder how they will get by now...

I hope the other three assholes get their fair share of time behind bars.

I really do not understand these sorry excuses for human beings. My father was killed for $45 on Christmas eve even after he gave the robbers all the money in the register. Only one of the robbers got life while the others got like 4 or 5 years for being "accessories". I just turned four years old when he passed away.

It really sickens me to think that three out of the the four robbers are out free in society. I am 20 years old in two weeks.. its been 16 years yet I still miss him terribly. They robbed me of a father, my grandparents a son, my mother a husband, my aunts and uncles a brother, my cousins a uncle, his colleagues a friend.

I hope the law has changed since 1993, & that there is a tougher penalty for scumbags who rob & murder..

I don't understand how life is so cheap.

horrrrrribly sad, my God. I hope these fuckers get life no parole and no food either. what dumb lil shits, this just aggravates me. Starve em to death and put the lethal injection up their asses.

So tragic, especially for his newborn baby. To grow up and find out how her daddy died in such a cruel stupid manner.
