I can't handle another day of child rapists, so I'm contributing pizza instead. Rankings from Yahoo! and Rachel Ray Magazine:
BEST OVERALL: American Flatbread Cheese and Herb
"It's pizza in its purest form," one taster said, "simple and earthy." (americanflatbread.com for stores)
BEST CHEESE: Wolfgang Puck All-Natural Margherita
This pie won raves over the "big, pretty" tomato slices and strong flavors of olive oil and herbs: "It tastes like fresh pesto."
BEST PEPPERONI: Tombstone Pepperoni
Tasters called it "one generously topped" pie. The supermarket standby also scored big for its "thick and salty" slices.
BEST VEGETABLE: DiGiorno Rising Crust Spinach, Mushroom & Garlic
"It's doughy on the inside and crisp on the outside," said one taster. And this well-decorated pie is smothered with "loads of spinach" and "fresh-tasting mushrooms."
BEST SAUSAGE: Home Run Inn Deep Dish Sausage
Tasters said the inside-out deep-dish pie is worth the fuss, praising its "crunchy crust," "big tomato chunks" and "juicy sausage."
BEST CRUST: Amy's Kitchen 3-Cheese Pizza with Cornmeal Crust
Freezers aren't always kind to pizza crust—making them doughy, dense or limp. But judges noted the "great cornmeal texture" on this unique recipe.
BEST ODDBALL
California Pizza Kitchen BBQ Chicken
The frozen supermarket version of the restaurant's pie beat plenty of wacky pizzas. Judges loved the "tangy" sauce and "mountain of toppings."

I vote $1 Totino's from Walmart. The crust on the bottom almost melts in my mouth and we all get our own pizza for cheap.

Just got back from Southern CT and stuffed myself with NY style thin crust, brick oven pizza while I was there. Can't get it in DC. It's not that hard people, Pizza Hut crust is not good!

Next time you come to CT go to Norwich. Mr. Pizza has the best pizza I have ever had in my life! I have no idea why I think it's the best, it just is. about 5 minutes, if that from Mohegan Sun.

I used to live in Eastern CT in the 90's. My favorite pizza out there was Recovery Room in New London. Very good stuff...

I don't know what happened to that place. It must still be there but I never hear of it anymore. New London is overwhelming for me to find food. There's so many little, good places all over. I got this one go to place for ox tail. Captain's pizza is o.k. (but that's because I've just finished bar hopping Bank Street) Ocean Pizza down from Recovery Room is o.k. better for fried seafood, but it's so old and dingy in there.

OK. I normally would never do this, but I have to give credit where credit is due...Papa John's does a fantastic job. Hold on, let me explain...Now coming from the great Northeast, I am somewhat of a pizza snob. Has to be brick oven, and anything corporate owned is automatically ruled out. But, I was lazy, didn't feel like cooking anything, and I wanted wings. So, my choices were "The Hut", Papa John's, or one of many local joints. I decided on Papa John's because I didn't feel like talking to anyone, and the ordering process is completely online, payment included. They showed up 30 minutes later. And the wings were, strangely enough, AWESOME. The pizza was exactly what I expected. Doughy crust, bland cheese, mediocre toppings...but that was what I expected. Except that I expected it to be luke warm. Nope, also piping hot. Just amazing. I was in the mood for bland pizza and good wings. I got just that. They get my stamp of approval. Now where's my bottle of Jim Beam...
BTW, this is the first time I've had Papa John's...ever. They don't really exist in CT.

Goes to show you, people wouldn't know good pizza if it was force fed to them.

All this pizza talk has me hungry. Where I live, there is a new pizza place that is the most yummy pizza I have eaten since I left New York. It's called Momma Bricks, and the eye candy in that pizza place is nice too! My oldest son is not a pizza eater, but if I buy Momma Bricks he eats the entire pizza pie, all by himself. They make it with quality ingredients, and not the stuffy boring crap neither. I think I will visit Momma Bricks tonight, and also stare at the eye candy in that restaurant
