View Full Version : Posting to Calendar

All Registered users have access to the Dreamin' Demon Calendar and are able to post events to it. However, events must be approved by a moderator before they will show up. Also, there are some simple guidleines that should be followed.

All events should have a thread attached to them. If the event is not worth talking about, then it probably shouldn't clutter up the calendar.

If the event is a Movie, DVD, Book, Music release, simply create a normal thread for the subject, then create the event to coincide with the release date. Post what you want in the event, but I am recommending a simple link to the thread that has already been created. No need for much else since the thread already has all the info.

Be sure that you are not wasting your time by first checking to see if someone already has a thread created but just hasn't had an event created.

Releases should have a common sense prefix such as Movie: Spiderman, DVD: Debbie Does Dallas Directors Cut, etc. This makes it a LOT easier to read the calendar.

Other than that, use common sense. Your personal appointments are not needed. :) Holidays are already covered.

I will update this post if needed, but feel free to ask any questions or just PM me.

Would it be alright if I posted calendar dates for some of the bigger name games after creating threads for them?

that would be great, McVain!:D

You post whatever you want. As long as there is a thread to go to, that would be a sweet idea.

I'll get any events approved the day they are submitted.

I'm going to start making threads for a few of the more well known upcoming games. Is there a site you prefer I link to for each game Morbid? I don't have a favorite for that kind of thing.

No worries about the linking. If you are just informing on the game and stuff, just post away. I'll approve them all on the calendar at the end of the day. If the game has a homepage, that would be nice.

That would, of course, be a given. I just didn't know if there was a site that you prefer I use for everything. Or maybe link to a certain place for more info or to buy it. I completed the Forza thread already so if that looks fine I'll probably keep that format for the most part.

I like putting out the generic info you find on the back of the case in the first post for the thread. Then leave the rest of the thread for the good stuff like reviews and what have you.

The post looks great. I mean, that's more than enough info, don't you think?

Yeah, but I tend to try to be a perfectionist. That is, until laziness gets the best of me.

I am the same way. The only reason why I tend to have a 'format' when it comes to some of these posts is just so whenever, if ever, anyone checks this site out for that type of info, they will know what to expect.
