HOUSTON - One woman has gone from the classroom to a courtroom. A Spring High School teacher accused of having sex with a student makes her first court appearance.


Biology teacher Deanna Higgins faces two felony charges but her attorney says she should not be facing any.
According to court documents, Higgins had sex with a 16-year-old student at least twice. The act allegedly took place once in her home and another time in the student's pickup truck parked in her driveway.


The sexual acts allegedly took place during the 2008-2009 school year, which is why Higgins is charged with having an improper relationship between an educator and a student in addition to sexual assault of a child.

Higgins' ex-husband learned of her alleged relationship when he found incriminating text messages inside her old cell phone that she had given to their 8-year-old son. He brought the phone and presented it to authorities.

The Spring Independent School District removed Higgins from the clasroom while conducted an investigation.

Prosecutors say the student spilled his guts about the relationship to investigators.

Sping ISD has suspended another teacher while they investigate allegations of sexual misconduct.

Higgins is the fourth teacher in the district accused of having sex with students within a two-year period.

This bitch stole some of the best sexual experiences from him. No fumbling in the back seat, no first time exploration. I don't give a fuck how hot she is, she stole all the fun of first time exploration and learning and frustration from him. She schooled him (in more ways than one) but thats not the same.

As adults, we still get the "first time with someone" thrill, but IMHO it is nothing like what happens when you are young and learning together.

I would have too but, there is no way this woman could hold a candle to the 15 year old piece of ass I fumbled my way into back in the day. We were together for a year and a half until she moved away and I wouldn't trade those days for anything. While my experience is my own and I hesitate to compare it to those of others, the fact remains that this woman took away any chance for this kid to experience what I did.
Let us not forget that these experiences skew one's view on sex for life.
I view it like reading a book, he skipped ahead a few chapters and missed all the juicy goodness in between - going back to read it later just doesn't have the same flavor.

Actually, no. Good looking men don't seem to get the charges brought to begin with, it seems.

As far as "stolen possibilities" go, you can't steal something they never had to begin with. Besides, this ain't nothin' a well-experienced 16 year old girl would have done. Do we even know if he was a virgin? Hell, by 16, I knew guys who were into double digits and would have viewed this teacher as just another piece of ass.

No matter what arguments are put forth, the fact is that procreation is one of the strongest urges humans experience, and we start experiencing that urge immediately after puberty. As such, there isn't a lick of scientific research that establishes such sexual liasons as necessarily damaging.

What is damaging? When a person, be it old or young, is manipulated into sex. Who thinks that's what happened here?

...and that's precisely why attractive people are given lighter sentences. There's no evidence of manipulation. This broad didn't have to "groom" a damn thing.

And, for fuck's sake - get over the double standard thing, folks. Males and females are wired differently when it comes to sex. This is well established. Why shouldn't sentencing take that into consideration?
