I thought the boys in blue had to pass a psych eval in order to carry a badge. If that's still the case, then maybe the test needs to be reevaluated since so many of them seem to be passing the test only to be arrested for sex crimes after being hired.
Gives a whole new meaning to the term 'performing a public service', doesn't it?

They aren't the only ones performing public services...In prisons they've had to get rid of female guards and female nurses for having sex with the male inmates. It is hard to believe these women would do this, especially with all the STD's that they could get from them after the other inmates got done with them.

The victim testified at a hearing into the charges:
The alleged victim offered emotional testimony about the March 2008 incidents in which she claims the on-duty officer assaulted her in her home while her 3-year-old daughter was present.
The single mother testified that she and a neighbor had called Hurricane police after an incident in which the woman's daughter had left the house alone and she didn't know where she was.
The woman testified that the alleged assault occurred a few days later when her daughter again was able to escape from the home.
She testified that a neighbor apparently had found her daughter five houses away while she was still asleep that morning. She was unaware the child had left until she heard Amosa yelling her name from within her home.
After the neighbor left, Amosa attempted to comfort her because she was crying and upset about her child leaving the house again.
The woman testified that Amosa began to fondle her while they were seated on the couch together, at one point asking her "What can you do for me?" and telling her repeatedly that he was going to have to cite her for child neglect.
The fondling continued for some time while she protested and she said that Amosa later led her back to a bedroom where a second assault occurred.
She told Amosa that she was scared his gun was going to go off during the alleged second assault. She said she was afraid for her children and that the incident came to an end when her father phoned and she went to answer the call.
Amosa walked back up the street to where his vehicle was parked but returned five to 10 minutes later with police paperwork.
"He said I have to bring something in to show the neighbors I'm citing you for neglect," she said.
The alleged victim said Amosa then asked if they could spend more time together, perhaps to watch movies, and she agreed. Once Amosa left she called a friend, and the friend reported the incident to the police department, she said.
Defense attorney Gary Pendleton told Shumate that the details of the case are different than what he expected going into the hearing and asked for additional time to review their bearing on the charges.http://www.thespectrum.com/article/20090221/NEWS01/902210308
