LAWRENCE, Mass. -- Joseph Domurat, 61, his wife Noreen, 57, and their dog were found dead in what police called a murder-suicide on Saturday.
Neighbors started to worry about the couple when they didn't walk their dog last week. Day-old snow was also left on the windshield of their car.
The Domurats and their Great Dane all had fatal gunshot wounds, according to police.
Police hope their investigation will help figure out why this happened.
“According to neighbors who were very friendly with them, they didn’t believe there were any issues, even financial. It’s confusing. We may never know what triggered the events,” said Romero.
The couple lived in the home for about 25 years, and neighbors believe they did not have any children.

I just had to highlight that one phrase (not mine)--dead people with gunshot wounds; yeah, I'd describe them as "fatal," all right.
