Alabama - Andrevis Deon Davis, 18, opened fire on two officers at a Hobo Pantry convenience store during a robbery, shooting one in the shoulder and the other in the face.
In December 2007, investigators charged Davis with sexually assaulting a woman's daughter during a home invasion.
"He broke into my home with a hammer, it was my 14-year-old daughter and my two small children," the woman said. "This could have been prevented if they had not let him out or he had a steeper bond. This was a home invasion where a young girl was raped."
Davis was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sex abuse and first-degree burglary. He was released from the Henry County Jail on Jan. 10, 2008, after he posted his $190,000 bail.
In February, Davis was arrested again and charged him with possession of a controlled substance. He posted a $2,500 bond on that charge and was released from jail.
Davis was shot more than once by the officers and was scheduled for surgery Friday morning. One of the officers was treated and released; the other was scheduled for surgery Friday.

I really don't think having this guy out on the streets is a good idea.
