ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque jury today returned guilty verdicts against a woman accused of sexually abusing her own granddaughters.

Mary Lovato, 58, was convicted of a dozen crimes including rape. She was arrested for molesting the girls she was babysitting in 2005.

Today she was cuffed and led away after the jury's verdict was read in court.

Lovato cried as the verdict was read as she did earlier during the little girls' testimony that Lovato, who is their father's mother, had sexually assaulted them.

One of the girls, who were 7 at the time of the attack, also testified Lovato injected heroin in front of her and tried to get her to use it.

Aaawwww.....boo friggin hooo! The folks in prison haven't been nice to grandma. They are mean and they hurt her. Hmmm....wonder if it's anything like the pain and humiliation Grandma inflicted on her little grandaughters? I doubt it......so STFU Grandma and deal with it you evil bitch! :slap:

Yeah, fuck her and the ho she was bred on! I hope they have lots of brooms in the jail she goes to, and that she gets intimately acquainted with all of them! Multiple times... :mad:

I hope these girls can move past this now and heal. I wonder about the father of the girls though. If you can't trust your own mother with your children, who can ya trust? How heartbreaking for him.

blaaaaargh. Granny tootie is not appealing especially when granny may also have a dangler in her possession. I need to bleach my brain to get that mental pic out.

7 yrs old and smart enough to say no and tell someone. Good for her.

If one of my parents ever did something like this to one of my kids, they would never hear a fucking word for me again!! I would cut all ties and that would be the end of that!
