Well, the people that brought you a newer, realer Battlestar Galactica are at it again. This time they are going to tackle the '70s show, The Bionic Woman. In the updated tale, Jaime Sommers will be played by Michelle Ryan. A bartender who is also raising her teenage sister. After suffering a devastating accident, the only thing that can save her is some medical procedures of the top secret kind. It involves giving her two bionic legs, a bionic arm and a bionic eye. This procedure comes at a price that will undoubtedly involve Jaime Sommers stopping crime or thwarting enemies with her newly acquired assets, while still managing her own life...or something like that.

Michelle Ryan may already be familiar to some as the actress in the British soap-opera, Eastenders, but if you are like me, I have never heard of her before. It will be interesting on how well she is received by US audiences, but by some of the pictures of this actress at a recent British Soap Awards, male audiences will not have much of an issue. Speaking of assets, one cast member who US audiences are aware of is Katee Sackhoff, who plays Starbuck in the remodeled BattleStar Galactica. She will play the original Bionic Woman who she has stated has gone a little crazy and will be one of the villains of the show.

The Bionic Woman is executive produced by Battlestar Galactica's David Eick, The X Files' Glen Morgan, and Kidnapped's Michael Dinner. The show shares the same production company as Battlestar Galactica, and are both filmed in the same lot. This may mean a grittier, more realistic spin on the subject matter, but I am having a hard time thinking this show will go anywhere. But I thought the same thing about Battlestar Galactica.

Youtube is blocked from where I am at, but I tried to fix it. Check it out and you can see what you were doing wrong. All you need is the last set of characters.

Were you putting in the whole URL as opposed to just the ID number at the end of the URL?

EDIT: Never mind, Morbid touched on that all ready. :o

Anyway, not really looking forward to the show. Any of you plan on checking it out?

I'm not sure. I might check out the pilot episode. I wasn't a fan of the original, though. But with the writing team they have, I'd be curious as to what they are going to do with this. In an interview, Katee Sackhoff stated that this was going to be a cross between Alias, Dark Angel and something else. We'll see.

They have hired Isaiah Washington to this show. That knocked it down a few points for me.

I have mixed feelings about the preview. Could be good, but probably not.

Might be good. I don't really watch T.V. though, so I wont know.

I do know that I wouldn't want a hand job from her though.:(

Had to pass on it. Gonna wait to see what everyone else thought. I have a few programs I want to watch this year, so I am trying to be picky with what I choose to watch so that I don't get hooked on too many shows.
