Fucking Target...I thought all the bad things happened at WAL-MART! And I get the gist from the story that this guy is mentally delayed/handicapped or something.
Ummm...maybe his mom should not let him go into restrooms where there are more than 1 stall. Just sayin'.
KSDK -- A man was charged with grabbing and choking a seven-year-old boy in the men's restroom of the Fairview Heights Target store.
40-year-old Robert Fricke of Red Bud, Illinois allegedly grabbed the boy around his neck while the boy's mother stood outside the restroom Sunday afternoon. Police said that after the boy screamed, the mother went in and with employees detained Fricke until police arrived.
Police said Fricke has no criminal history and was in the store doing some shopping with his mother, whom investigators said he lives with.
The child was not seriously hurt.
Fricke faces a misdemeanor assault charge and was jailed under $100 bond.

Going to go against the grain here..at 7 my son was going into the restroom by himself. I'm not going to take a boy into the women's restroom at that age. I don't remember when I started doing this, but I think at 7. I am aware of creeps out there, but take my chances.

Boob I am the same mindset as you. If we let all these types of stories scare the hell out of us we will become paranoid freaks... Not everyone is out there to hurt our children. No we will never be able to protect them or to wrap the whole world in foam to do so when we aren't there. However there comes a time when we do need to let them learn to come into their own. It's a sad world when people need to consider what people like this may do to their children because this world we live in has become lacking in morals.

I was actually talking about Mr. Fricke being allowed to use multi-stall bathrooms. At age 7 I think it's reasonable that a parent wait outside the bathroom for the child. My stepson started going by himself around that age and my husband or I would just always hover outside the door.

A 7-year-old boy who was attacked in a Target restroom suffered no physical injuries, which is why the 40-year-old suspect was not charged with a felony, St. Clair County State's Attorney Robert Haida said.
Fairview Heights police sought a felony charge of aggravated battery to a child, which was denied by the state's attorney's office.
"The Illinois statute, in order to have a felony, you have to have an injury and, thankfully, the young man was not injured physically," Haida said Tuesday.
The defendant has no criminal history and "is mentally deficient in some way," Haida said.
"It's something that we will address in the court case to make sure this doesn't happen again," Haida said.
Employees of Target responded to the boy's screams and were able to detain the man until police arrived. He did not resist Target employees.
Haida has spoken with the boy's mother and said unless the 7-year-old suffers injuries as a result of the attack, he expects to file no further charges.
While the boy and his mother could have suffered emotional distress from the attack, "It's good news that he was not physically harmed," Haida said.

Since this man does have some mental handicaps, mom either needs to go shopping without her adult son, bring along a male friend who can go in the bathroom with him or hire a male aide. There are some funds out there that she possibly may be eligible for to help her with getting an aide. It's worth her looking into you don't ever know unless you look.

Maybe Mr. Fricke ought to be stopped from using public facilities if children upset him so much. It's time to keep the known weird folks away from the regular people instead of making the regular people give way to the weird.
Did that make sense?:stupido3:
