I was just about to crash, but was doing some searching on a Charlotte "celebrity" by the name of Don Swan. He died of a heart attack back in '95, but a lot of horror fans know him from a movie he directed called "Gore-Met: Chef From Hell". Anyway, in the process of doing said searching, I ran across a post of mine I made at the old Horrorchannel.com boards in regards to answering the question of what was the first horror movie you ever watched.

My first movie of any kind was a horror movie. It was Jaws. At the Thunderbird Drive In. In the back of a station wagon my parents were driving. They had me and my brother in our pajamas with blankets and pillows in the back. My brother fell asleep. I did not. I also 'bout shit my pants throughout the movie, and to my parents amusement, horror, aggravation, I screamed anytime the shark was shown.

I also had nightmares for a few weeks.

I love that movie.

So, what is the first movie you guys remember seeing in a theater.

Snow White (Shh!) I went with my sister and dad to this old style movie theater. I think there was only one or two screens in the whole theater.

101 Dalmations, the version with the real dogs. My mom surprised me one day by taking me.

I am not entirely sure. Supposedly it was one of the Sinbad (not the awful comedian) films. But it's up to debate which one it was and I honestly remember it very little. The latest it could have possibly been released was 1980. My Dad believes it was dubbed and in black and white. My mom says color and in English by native language.

Speaking of films I saw when I was young... I remember seeing a movie when I was 9 or 10 that I loved called Quest for the Mighty Sword. Looking it up on IMDB isn't of much help but I do know that it isn't out on DVD and is widely regarded as being a terrible film.

It's also regarded as being "Troll 3". Its not called Quest for the Mighty Sword on YouTube, but I did manage to find a clip of it on Youtube. Apparently, the only reason its referred to as Troll 3 is because Joe D'Amato used the leftover suits from Troll 2 for the film so he could save some money.
